Written Test will be conducted at Bangalore.

ii. Eligible candidates will have to appear for Written Test in Technical subjects (subject to passing
Kannada Language Test referred in para 7 below) .
Junior
iii. Selection will be made based on the average marks obtained in the qualifying examination (50%)
and marks obtained in the written test (50%) duly following the reservation of posts notified.

iv. Selection list will be published in the Web Site : www.karnatakapower.com

7. Kannada Language Test:
Candidates who have not studied Kannada as one of the subjects in SSLC or equivalent examination
or where medium of instruction is not Kannada in SSLC or equivalent exam, they have to pass a
Kannada Language Test. The Kannada Language Test will be held prior to the technical written test
on the same day. Those who pass the Kannada Language test are only eligible to appear for
Technical Written Test.

8. Written Test:
A WRITTEN TEST OF TWO HOURS DURATION FOR 100 MARKS WILL BE

CONDUCTED TO TEST THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE CANDIDATES IN THE

RELEVANT TECHNICAL SUBJECTS. QUESTIONS WILL BE OBJECTIVE TYPE WITH MULTIPLE CHOICE
ANSWERS. THE CANDIDATES HAVE TO USE ONLY BLACK BALL POINT PEN TO MARK ON THE OMR
SHEET (OBJECTIVE MARK RESPONSE SHEET)

i. Eligible candidates for attending the written test will be notified in the Web Site;

ii. Eligibility is determined as per the details furnished in the application. If, at any point of time or
at any stage of processing the recruitment or thereafter, it is found that the candidate has given
false information or the details given are found to be not true, he/she will not only be disqualified
for further stages of recruitment but also liable for appropriate legal action;

iii. If the number of applications received are large, the Corporation reserves its right to limit the
number of candidates to be considered for Written Test. Mere possession of the qualification does
not confer any right on the applicant to be called for Written Test;

iv. The exact date, time & venue of the written test will be published in the Web Site;

v. Candidates shall bring the following documents at the time of attending the Written Test:-

a) Two printouts (copies) of the acknowledgement, with the recent passport size photo (not older
than six months) affixed & duly signed. One of the copies will be returned to the candidate;

b) Original Bank Challan [customer copy] alongwith a photocopy of it;

c) Relevant Caste/Discharge Certificate in respect of SC/ST/Ex-Serviceman candidate;

The candidate who fails to produce the above documents will not be allowed to appear for the
Written Test.
