I am pleased to submit herewith my application for the post of Mechanical Engineer at
your company. I believe that my qualification and working experience enable me to meet the
expectations and demand of the said position. I am a graduate of UMT in Bachelor of
Applied Science Maritime Technology Bsc. Hons and completed my studies in July 2012.
I have gained valuable experience in doing an experimental research for my final year
project. For the project, I study about the effect of TIG welding on corrosion behavior of
316L stainless steel that come out with result, duration of 316L stainless steel get corrode
in condition oil and gas industry. This project has provided me with a strong dedication
towards maritime industry.
I was fortunate to get the opportunity to learn about ship building, ship repair and
maintenance at Boustead Penang Shipyard Sdn Bhd during my twelve-week industrial training

programme. As a student trainee, I was in charged of mechanical task in general followed by

management task. The responsibilities I shouldered have developed and improved my
understanding in the field of Maritime Technology and Management operations. The
training has also familiarized me with many challenges involved in maritime technology
establishment.
At present, I am working as Field Engineer (Marine) at Ombak Marine Group Sdn Bhd
as focal person of service offshore work barge Ombak Biru Satu. I have follow two project
trenching SOGT and BCOT and all readiness marine spread of OSVIS, MWS and DFIN is
responsible by me.
