Dear HR Manager:
I have attached a copy of my resume for your consideration about the available positions in information
technology or computer related fields.
As my resume reflects, I possess a Bachelors degree in Information Technology with emphasis in Technical
Business Analyst, operating systems, networks and telecommunications. Please note that I also possess a
strong technical background having served as a Test Engineer for both Boeing Satellite Systems and
Airborne Instrumentation Laboratory.
I also faithfully served my country as a member of the United States Air Force, during which time I acquired
invaluable experience and formal education in Project Management, Customer Service, Logistics, and
Avionic Technical Services. I am an experienced project leader and performed in all aspects of project
management.
While employed with the Department of Economic Security for the State of Arizona, I gained valuable
experience and technical knowledge as an IT Specialists III. I assisted the Department Administrator in the
design and creation of a Job Status website as an application designer. The application reflected job call
status, assigned department and agent, work in progress, corrective actions, and estimated time of completion
for elevated calls to the Tier II and III levels. This application provided customers with updated status reports
on their tickets (through website access and automatic Emails) and reduced the amount of follow-up calls
from customers.
To increase my potential, I am currently enrolled in Tech Skills (Student ID JOH78592, San Antonio) to
obtain certification as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.
I am an extremely focused and task oriented individual. I am confident that my talents will be valuable in
support of your technological goals, and I would be delighted to serve as a member of your team.
Thank you very much for your consideration. I look forward to the opportunity to expound on my
qualifications, answer any questions you might have, and to meet with you for a personal interview.
Sincerely,
Joseph B. Johnson
