These are notes that are added to, and sent with, each release of MatrikonOPC Excel Reporter.
Release Notes for MatrikonOPC Excel Reporter v3.4.0 (June 18, 2012)
New Features and Enhancements:
There is a GUI change. The user can manually specify the remote computer names.
The user can see more information in the log file.
The user can browse the server under the host machine through registry browse. This is a persistent
feature and the settings selected by the user would be saved.
Resolved Issues:
1727: Excel Reporter gets incorrect values from the cell when it has current values updating from a server.
15035: Excel Reporter does not browse Access Right Item 0.
15254: Product needs to be able to manually specify remote computer names.
15460: Very long queries can result in Excel popping up an annoying message.
15972: Registry browses are unavailable.

MatrikonOPC Excel Reporter Release Notes 2
15973: Excel Reporter browses DA1 OPC servers only.
17215: Quick Chart does not give an error when the OK button is pressed without specifying tags.
17252: Excel Reporter throws a run-time error when you attempt to connect to a remote server that is
unavailable.
17573: Microsoft Forms error occurs n Excel after Excel Report is installed.
17612: Schedule does not work in version 3.3.0 with Excel 2007.
17775: Logging information is not very useful.
17973: Unable to see aggregates in Excel Reporter.
18225: Excel Reporter crashed when performing Tag Attribute History operation with or without
applying files/calculation.
18240: Excel Reporter throws the run time when trying to add the tags with different operations (for
example, Raw History).
18248: Excel Reporter crashed when updating the values for the cell with current values to Write DA
values.
18308: Timestamp format is not correct; it is taking local Edmonton time.
18355: The latest current values fetched by the Scheduler while generating the reports are not taking the
correct timestamp.
18356: Scheduler reports for process history are always taking GMT timings.
Known Outstanding Issues:
15438: Items longer than 255 characters cannot be added into the Selected Items list. This is due to a
Microsoft Excel limitation where Excel does not handle items longer than 255 characters when updating
the formula.
15445: The aggregate field in the Processed History window is not populated until the user connects to
a data source through the Browse Servers window or the Browse Tags window. Typically this is only
seen when Excel is first started.
15451: Excel Reporter does not work with purely numeric tags (e.g., a tag called 123).
o Workaround: Create aliases for numeric tags.
15456: An Excel Reporter function array does not reconnect to a data source that has gone offline and
then becomes available again. The current work around is to use Ctrl-Shift-Enter on the array or reopen
the Excel Reporter window to recreate the function.
15467: Inserting a row above a Quick Chart or a Current Values array stops the values from updating.
15474: When attempting to write values using the Write HDA value(s) menu option, it writes to only the
first selected tag (even though multiple tag selection is allowed).
17776: Excel 2007/2010 support and larger worksheets.
Release Notes for MatrikonOPC Excel Reporter v3.3.1 (November 9, 2011)
Resolved Issues:
17911: In some cases, Excel Reporter uses an incorrect timestamp when Write Historical Values (Replace
Method) is used in multiple entries.

MatrikonOPC Excel Reporter Release Notes 3
Release Notes for MatrikonOPC Analytics Excel Reporter v3.3.0 (March 24, 2011)
New Features and Enhancements:
The Excel Reporter install folder has been changed to C:\Program Files\Matrikon\OPC Analytics\Excel
Reporter.
Resolved Issues:
17186: Filter on HDA Raw History Read does not appear to work.
16884: If seven or more tags are configured in a column to display their current values, all tags may
display the value of the first item.
Release Notes for MatrikonOPC Analytics Excel Reporter v3.2.1 (December 14, 2009)
New Features and Enhancements:
Excel Reporter is now bundled with MatrikonOPC Micro Historian, MatrikonOPC Simulation Server and
MatrikonOPC Explorer.
The logging interface for Excel Reporter has been improved and new logging messages have been added
to key areas.
Resolved Issues:
When the Maximum Return Values limit is set for a Historical OPC server, the number of records
returned by the Processed History or Quick Chart functions will not exceed this limit in a single query. If a
larger request is made, multiple queries are performed until all of the necessary data is retrieved (e.g., If
the limit is set to 500 and 10000 records are requested, 20 queries are issued until all 10000 records are
retrieved).
When the Maximum Return Values limit is set for a Historical OPC server, the Raw History function
restricts the number of values that can be returned to the Maximum Return Values limit (e.g., If the limit
is set to 500, only 500 records can be returned).
Excel Reporter dialogs will no longer reset their configurations after choosing a start time or end time.
Repopulating an Excel Reporter dialog from a function array has been fixed.
The Processed History dialog remembers the value of the Aggregate drop-down when returning from the
Browse Tags dialog.
Excel Reporter applies the time settings from the Settings dialog properly when Excel is restarted.

scanners).
MatrikonOPC Excel Reporter does not have a time delay when licensing has expired.
