SUMMARY
To attain the above objective, process manual and users guide were redesigned and deployed on RBC
SharePoint site. On the job training in the area of transaction processing, software and soft skills was
undertaken to ensure cross-skill transfer of learning.





VIOLENCE IN WORKPLACE: AWARENESS AND PREVENTION E-LEARNING PROGRAM
SUMMARY
The manual was specifically designed for anyone who has ever faced, or is likely to face, violence at
work. The curriculum was developed using the ADDIE model and offers a complete solution on effectively
preventing violence in the workplace. Modules 1 and 2 presents the learning concepts and issues that we
need to understand in order to confront the phenomenon of workplace violence. Module 3 provides a
detailed look on preventing and preparing for pre-incidence violence where Modules 4 and 5 construct
specific strategies that any company can adopt to deal with crisis and post-crisis incidences respectively.
A major challenge of developing the material was to make it feasible to implement and at the same time
custom tailor the contents to the specific needs of the trainees at OnCall Solutions Inc. This challenge was


accomplished by presenting the material in an easier, more intriguing and convenient manner. The
progress tests and mastery exams were designed to provide immediate feedback at critical points to
ensure learning and feedback.

EVALUATION OF THE EFFECT OF TRAINING ON JOB PERFORMANCE







SUMMARY
The effect of training on job performance is an important topic in the field of human resource
development. The majority of research on effects of worker training is conducted at the organizational
level and not enough at the individual level. This project filled this gap by examining the personal beliefs
and perceptions of 153 PSU support staff employees on how training affects job performance. In order to
fulfill this objective, four training programs were selected. Data on the effectiveness of each of the four
training programs were collected using Effectiveness Survey (ES), an instrument designed exclusively to
obtain the data necessary to answer the research questions included in the statement of problem. To
discern the effectiveness of each training program, sample data were analyzed using descriptive statistics
at the four levels of evaluation model. The study identified several important results. The findings suggest
that the implementation of a training program does positively influence one's job performance. In todays
knowledge based economy, employees want to be able to develop their skills and work for an
organization that offers good learning and development opportunities. Considering the predicted shortage
of skilled employees at PSU, maintaining such learning initiatives prove to be a cost-effective solution for
attracting and retaining employees.
