ABSTRACT
This application has been developed with the core objective of addressing Project
Managers, Management and HR Folks to manage their resources for project allocation.
This application has been etremel! useful in addressing the following objectives"
To reduce effort for tracking and coordination of each emplo!ee#s details for resource
re$uirement.
To eliminate person dependenc! in availing information %&.g. 'vailabilit! of
resources, people blocked for a project etc(
)entrali*ed and 'ccurate data available in the application and can be accessed
an!time, an!where.
To minimi*e communication gaps in resource allocation %&.g. +ame person
getting blocked for multiple projects(

Here the eisting s!stem is a manual one. 7henever the compan! recruits some people,
the compan! can#t directl! assign them in to a project. +ometimes the compan! has to
maintain some emplo!ees on the resource pool for future projects and the! need to
maintain the details of these emplo!ees, their skill set, previous domain epertise and
their branch details etc. -nce a new project comes to a branch then the compan! will
search for the re$uired skill set people and block these people to this project so that the
other +PM could not be able block the same person for another project. 'fter the project
is confirmed these people will be allocated to that project. -nce the project is over again
these people will come back to the resource pool. Maintaining all these details manuall!,
co8coordinating between the different branches and generating the re$uired reports is a
tedious process.

The proposed s!stem is a software application through which the compan! people can
efficientl! manage and maintain the data related to all the emplo!ees who are waiting in
the resource pool. This application helps the compan! in co8coordinating different
departments, different +PM and the completel! avoids the clashes in allocating an
emplo!ee to a project.
This also helps +PMs in searching for the re$uired emplo!ees based on their skill
set, previous domain epertise and visa t!pe b! appl!ing the filters. -nce an emplo!ee
status is updated then this change will updated in the centrali*ed database. The user who
is using application can generate different kinds based on the re$uirements of the
compan! and helps the compan! in taking the decisions.

This s!stem provides web based access to the users for updating the emplo!ee
status at an! point of time which will be affected in the centrali*ed database.

The s!stem after careful anal!sis has been identified to present with the following
modules.
A"mnstrat*e (o"u!e: This module allows the administrator to add a new
emplo!ee entr! in the resource pool which includes emplo!ee personal
information, current location, joining date, bench start date, role, entr! as, domain
epertise, primar! and secondar! skill set, 4ate allocated to a project or project
blocked. The administrator can add a new user and assign access permissions to
the user for providing proper authentication and authori*ation. This module also
allows the administrator to change the passwords of all the users at an! point of
time.
Resource (ana+ement mo"u!e: This module takes care of showing all the
emplo!ees information in a consolidated manner or in a branch wise manner. This
module provides a fleible wa! to sort the emplo!ee details based on an! field
just b! a single mouse click. The user who is having administrative privileges can
edit an! emplo!ee details and update the re$uired fields as per the re$uirement.
7hen the compan! people or an +PM wants to block an emplo!ee who is the
resource pool for a project then he can do it just b! editing that emplo!ee info and
update the status field and enter the name project for which this person was
blocked. 0f an +PM wants to allocate an emplo!ee to a project from the resource
pool then he can do it just b! clicking on emplo!ee record and update status field
and the date on which this emplo!ee was allocated to a person. This module
provides a facilit! to download the consolidated data or branch wise data in to
ecel sheet ver! easil!.
Trac0n+ mo"u!e: The module provides a ver! efficient mechanism to search for
an emplo!ee and generate customi*ed information based on selected filters. 7e
can select up to 9 available filters %4omain, :isa T!pe and +tatus( to select
multiple values for the filters use +H0FT ke!. 0t also allows the users to download
the customi*ed generated information into ecel sheet.

Re1ortn+ mo"u!e: This module provides a fleible wa! for the user to generate
different kinds of reports based on location which includes location vs role report,
location vs status report, location vs bench role, location vs blocked role and
based on skill wise which includes skill vs role, skill vs bench role and skill vs
blocked role. This also allows the user to generate status vs role report. This
provides a wa! to view all these reports either in a tabular format or in bar graph
format.
