En ces temps o les ux dinformations, la circulation de biens et de personnes
senvisagent lchelle mondiale, les frontires physiques, culturelles ou concep-
tuelles qui dterminent et dlimitent certains domaines de recherche deviennent
inexorablement dynamiques. Cela se vrie dans la recherche acadmique, et
notamment lorsque lon sintresse la relation entre la philosophie et les arts de
la scne. Les distinctions entre ces disciplines sont bouscules, rvalues. Lagir
scnique acquiert une valeur philosophique. Le thtre et la performance donnent
alors lide dune philosophie en acte.
Pens dans la continuit du colloque international Images et fonctions du thtre
dans la philosophie franaise contemporaine (ENS Ulm, org. CIEPFC, Labo
LAPS, Dimitra Panopoulos, Flore Garcin-Marrou, 10-11/2012), ce prochain v-
nement se propose de continuer questionner le lien problmatique entre thtre
et philosophie, cette fois-ci laune des perspectives anglo-amricaines. De nou-
veaux croisements, de nouveaux transferts entre lide et la scne, labstrait et le
concret impliquent un changement radical de perspective sur la philosophie et la
performance. Le nouveau champ de recherche baptis Performance Philosophy
en anglais et Philo-Performance en franais, met en valeur cette aspiration in-
carner et dramatiser des ides.
Dans un premier temps, ce colloque vise mettre au jour des corpus traitant de la
question thtrale encore peu tudis en France. Dans un deuxime temps, cette
prospection nous conduit oprer un vritable tournant scnique. Au-del du
thtre pens comme rfrence littraire ou comme concept opratoire, il sagit
de comprendre comment les philosophes anglo-amricains peuvent nous com-
muniquer une ide de la scne contemporaine, en tant que lieu physique, concret
et vivant, thtral et/ou performatif.
