Dear Admissions Department,
I am writing to express my interest in studying at the IT University of Copenhagen. I am currently completing my last semester at St.L.Roth High School in my hometown and I will graduate in July. As I attend the Mathematics-Informatics department, I have a special interest in extending my knowledge in IT in various branches like Business, Management and Design. During the school years I spent at St.L.Roth High School I have aquired a solid intellectual foundation to continue pursuing my undergraduate study at the IT University of Copenhagen, as my school record and the obtained certificates show. I am going to obtain my Baccalaureate Diploma in July and the IELTS Certificate in April. In addition, I have acquired transferable skills, such as the ability to identify and solve problems, to manage a team, to use several programming languages, as well as verbal and written communication skills in English and German. I have also learnt to appreciate the necessity of attention to detail, dedication and team work, that will continue helping me do well and succeed in my undergraduate study and my future professional life. Moreover, I am highly motivated and I am an all-around student with good academic, athletic and interpersonal skills. I am highly interested in everything related to IT, especially in its application to enterprise systems and information management, but I also consider IT in a social context extremely interesting. What I also appreciate is the opportunity the university offers its students to study one semester abroad, which I consider is very useful in order to learn about IT in a global context and the advantages and challenges of globalization. In choosing your university I was also attracted by the fact that students of Global Business Informatics are urged to participate at various project works having the opportunity to collaborate with companies and organisations. Finally I also appreciate that I will have the opportunity to improve my English skills, to become part of an international environment and have an excellent opportunity to create an international network. I am convinced that studying at the IT University of Copenhagen will come up to my expectations and will offer me complete satisfaction. As required, I am eclosing the filled-in application form, my school record and my curriculum vitae. I will send the copy of the IELTS Certificate and of my Baccalaureate Diploma as soon as I receive the results. I appreciate your time and consideration and look forward to hearing from you soon.
