Thank you for worshiping at Grace UMC! You are our honored guest, and

Summer Sermon Series
Join the Grace UMC family in worship this summer as we share in a sermon
series entitled Summer of Stories. Going through August 3
rd
, each week we
will have opportunity to hear from a Grace member as they share their faith
by offering ways that God has blessed their lives. This is a special time in the
life of the church, and all are encouraged to make worship a priority as we
celebrate the God-stories in each of us!

Casual Summer Worship
We encourage members to come as you are for worship during June and
July! During these months our pastors and choir will not be in robes, and all
are invited to be casually dressed.

Disc Golf Today
Join us today for a fun afternoon of Disc Golf! We will eat at Subway (2880
Jordan Lane NW) and play disc golf at Mastin Lake Park. All are welcome to
join us for lunch after the service, or just join us at the course at 1:00 pm.

Tuesday Morning Summer "Prayer and Share"
Ladies, our next meeting will be Tuesday, July 8
th
. Please remember to bring
the clothes you have been collecting as a summer outreach for donation to
the Women's Halfway House. We are gathering the clothing for women who
have been released from the Women's Prison. The clothing will be delivered
to the Halfway house later in July. If you are interested in accompanying
the delivery team, let us know! For questions, please call Mary Graham at

One Service for VBS Celebration Sunday
In order to join together as a Body of Faith and give thanks for our week of
VBS, we will have ONE COMBINED SERVICE of celebration on Sunday, July
20, at 11:00 am. Our Praise Band will be playing (as well as Curtis Lindsay,
our pianist) as our children will be leading us in worship on this special
Sunday. Please note: There will be NO 9:00 am Contemporary Worship
service that day, but we WILL have Sunday School at 10:05 am. Come and
be a part of this special worship as we celebrate the children of Grace UMC!

Parents Night Out
Join us on Friday, July 25
th
, for a fun-filled night of games, crafts, and
activities for kids of all ages. To help keep this night awesome for our kids,
parents are kindly requested to go and find something to do on their own.
We begin at 5:00 pm and end at 9:00 pm for 5 & under or 10:00 pm for 6 &
over. The cost is $10 per child, with a $20 family maximum. It's a great time

New Banners for Hallway and Sanctuary
We are currently raising funds which will enable us to purchase new banners
to decorate the Sanctuary and hallways of the church. If you would like to
be a part, please place a check into the offering plate made out to the church
with Banner Fund noted in the memo line. Thank you!

Dinner choices are grilled chicken or Salisbury steak,
mashed potatoes, and mixed vegetables.

New Series in Both Sunday School and MYF
We are beginning a new Sunday School series entitled, Keep Calm and
Carry On which deals with stress and worry. Sunday School is at
10:05 am.
Our new MYF lesson is Shocking and Scandalous Bible Stories. MYF
begins at 6:30 pm.

A big thank you to all who helped to make our Youth Rummage Sale
yesterday so successful. Your help was very much appreciated, and we
couldnt have done it without you!

VBS Volunteers Needed
Wed love to have more volunteers to help out with our upcoming VBS! If
you have a love for children and would like to serve in this special way,
please contact Carol Reynolds at (256) 508-0765 or Tracy Sisson at

Serving Communion in Worship
Would you like to assist in serving communion during monthly communion
services and at other special services? You can sign up now on the bulletin
board across from the kitchen. Dates are available for all of 2014.

HAP (Huntsville Assistance Program) Food Pantry Donations
During the month of June Grace UMC is collecting cereal and oatmeal to
support the Huntsville Assistance Program. Please place donated food
items in the Food Pantry in Fellowship Hall Room #3.

Our Children's Ministry Team is excited to announce that Vacation
Bible School will be July 13

from 5:45-8:15 pm each night.
Our Workshop of Wonders VBS will be a fun time for all!! We'll have
music, crafts, games, and other exciting activities. You may register
your child (Ages 4-Rising 5
