1. What is Bulk Image Downloader?
Bulk Image ownloader +BI, is a sim*le to use yet *owerful image downloading tool.
A*art from sim*ly downloading all t'e images on a web *age it can also locate and download full
siDed images from almost any t'umbnailed web gallery. A t'umbnailed web gallery is a web *age
containing t'umbnailed +small siDed, images t'at eac' link to full siDed images or to secondary
*ages containing t'e full siDed images.
>o download all of t'e full siDed images from suc' *ages you would ty*ically need to click on eac'
t'umbnailed link and t'en rig't click on eac' full siDed image and select 5Sa!e Image As...7C w'ic'
can be difficult and time consuming.
BI makes downloading full siDed images from suc' galleries 8uick and easy. BI will automatically
download from almost any siteC e!en if t'e images are 'osted on free image 'osting sites suc' as
flickrC image!enue or imagefa*. It is smart enoug' to 'andle most sites wit'out any com*licated set
u* or 5*roFect files7 re8uired. It Fust works.
BID is not just or images G it can also download t'umbnailed !ideo files +.a!iC .wm!C .m*egC

Bulk Image Downloader %BID&
BI is t'e main image downloading tool. It scans web *ages for t'umbnailed and embedded images
and *resents t'e results to t'e user. #sers can browse t'roug' t'e images found and *re!iew
selected full siDed images before deciding w'ic' to download.
.ulti*le instances of BI can be acti!e at a timeC eac' working on a different web *age or gallery.
BID 'ueue (anager
>'e BI -ueue .anager is used to maintain a list of web gallery or web *age links to be
downloaded. &'ile acti!eC it will automatically launc' it$s own instance of BI +running in a s*ecial
automatic mode, to download images from t'e first gallery in t'e list. As soon as BI com*letes t'e
downloadC t'e gallery link is remo!ed from t'e list and t'e ne0t gallery in t'e 8ueue is started. >'e
BI -ueue .anager can be left to download 'uge lists of web galleries wit'out any 'uman
inter!ention.

>'e BI Link /0*lorer is designed to *rocess web *ages t'at contain links to multi*le web galleries
+web gallery 5inde07 *ages,. It e0tracts all links from t'e selected web *age and dis*lays t'em on
screen. >'e user can t'en select t'e a**ro*riate gallery links and send t'em all to t'e BI -ueue
.anager for later downloading. /ac' link can also be o*ened in a se*arate instance of BI if

3. We, Browser Integration
BI integrates wit' Internet /0*lorer +I/,C 6*eraC 2ire2o0 and %oogle 3'rome. I/ and 6*era
integration is automaticC but 2ire2o0 and %oogle 3'rome integration re8uires t'e installation of a
browser e0tension.
BID -ire-o+ *+tension
>'e easiest way to install t'e BI 2ire2o0 e0tension is to !isit t'e Antibody Software &eb site
+www.antibody-software.com, using 2ire2o0 as your browser. 3lick on t'e 5ownload BI 2ire2o0
/0tension7 link on t'e front *age. 2ire2o0 will *o* u* a warning w'ic' you s'ould 5Acce*t7 to
com*lete t'e installation.
Alternati!ely start 2ire2o0C click on 2ileC t'en click 56*en 2ile7. Browse to t'e BI installation folder
+normally cIJ;rogram 2ilesJBulk Image ownloader,C t'en select t'e 52ire2o0 e0tension folder7.
Select t'e BulkImageownloader0K00.0*i file and click on 56*en7. 2ollow t'e *rom*ts to com*lete
t'e installation.

Launc'es t'e BI Link /0*lorer and automatically loads t'e current web *age.

Start your browser and t'en browse to a web *age containing t'e web gallery you$d like to
download. In t'e e0am*les below we are downloading from flickr.comC but t'e information and
tec'ni8ues can be a**lied to any ot'er web site.
4ig't click inside t'e *age and select 56*en current *age wit' BI7.

BI will start and automatically scan t'e web *age for images. After a few seconds it will dis*lay a
list of imagesI

Selected met'od is used,. If t'ere are images dis*layed t'at are not wanted t'ey must be deleted
from t'e list before downloading starts.
>o delete a single image click on it and *ress t'e delete key. >o select a range of images click on t'e
firstC t'en 'old t'e S'ift key down and click on t'e last image in t'e range. >o select many indi!idual
