Vital Statistics, Government Medical facilities, Family Planning Service Centres and HIV positives identified and patients assisted are covered in this chapter.
Table- 2.1 Estimated Crude Birth Rates, Crude Death Rates and Infant Mortality Rates for the years 2010 and 2011 are presented in this table. The Crude Birth Rate per 1,000 Population is 17.9 for the year 2010 and 17.5 for the year 2011 in the State. The Crude Death Rate per 1,000 Population is 7.6 for the year 2010 and 7.5 for the year 2011. The Infant Mortality Rate is 46 for the year 2010 and 43 for the year 2011 per 1,000 live births.

Table-2.7 Abstract of Government Medical facilities (Allopathic) as on 31.3.2012 shows that there are 508 Total Hospitals, 1,634 Primary Health Centres and 170 Dispensaries in Andhra Pradesh. 9,726 Doctors including contract Doctors are working in these Hospitals, Primary Health Centres and Dispensaries, while 45,509 beds are available in these Hospitals and Primary Health Centres.
Table-2.8 District-wise Government Medical facilities under Allopathic as on 31.3.2012 are shown in this table. East Godavarid district had highest number of hospitals with 32, where as Vizianagaram district had lowest number with 14 hospitals only. In respect of Primary Health Centres, East Godavari district had the highest number with 97, whereas Hyderabad district had lowest with 10. (Contd.) 112

Table-2.9 Abstract of Government Medical facilities under AYUSH as on 31.3.2012 shows that there are 19 Total Hospitals and 2,085 Dispensaries in the state. 1,372 Doctors are working in these Hospitals and Dispensaries and 1,320 beds are available in these Hospitals.
Table-2.10 District-wise Government Medical Hospitals under AYUSH as on 31.3.2012 are shown in this table. There are 7 Ayudrveda hospitals, 5 Unani hospitals, 6 Homeopathy hospitals and 1 Natuorpathy hospital are functioning in the state.
Table-2.11 District wise Medical Dispensaries of Ayurveda as on 31.3.2012 are given in this table. Out of 1,112 total Dispensaries, 557 are Government Dispensaries, 491 are National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) Dispensaries, 18 are Subsidized Rural Dispensaries and 46 are Grant-in-aid Dispensaries. 681 Doctors are working in these Dispensaries.
Table-2.12 District wise Unani Medical Dispensaries as on 31.3.2012 are given in this table. There are 196 Government and 147 NRHM Dispensaries are in the state. In these 343 Dispensaries, 217 Doctors are working in state.
Table-2.13 District wise Medical Dispensaries of Homoeopathy as on 31.3.2012 presented in this table. Out of 557 total Dispensaries, 286 Government and 271 NRHM Dispensaries are in the state. 351 Doctors are working in these Dispensaries.
Table-2.14 District wise Naturopathy Medical Dispensaries under NRHM as on 31.3.2012 are given in this table. There are 73 NRHM Dispensaries with 42 Doctors are functioning in the state.
