Comment/ +his Act see0s to protect the go'ernment and officias for any omission in aying of
any reg!ation made "efore the commencement of this Act !nder or in p!rs!ance of any r!e
made !nder the A$%ndia &er'ices Act, 1951161 of 19512 "efore #ariament.
1S!o"t t#t$e.$ +his Act may "e caed the A$%ndia &er'ices .eg!ations 1%ndemnity2 Act, 1975.
%In&emn#t'.$ +he 3entra 4o'ernment and a officers responsi"e for the aying of any reg!ation
made "efore the commencement of this Act !nder or in p!rs!ance of any r!e made !nder the A$
%ndia &er'ices Act, 1951161 of 19512, are, and each of them is, here"y freed discharged and
indemnified from and against a conse5!ences, (hatsoe'er, if any, inc!rred or to "e inc!rred "y
them or the 3entra 4o'ernment or any s!ch officer "y reason of any omission in this "ehaf to
ay s!ch reg!ation "efore #ariament and e'ery s!ch reg!ation sha for a p!rposes "e deemed
to ha'e "een d!y aid "efore #ariament and sha ha'e effect and sha "e deemed a(ays to
ha'e had effect accordingy.
(Amen&ment o) *e+t#on ( o) A+t ,1 o) 1951-%n section 6 of the A$%ndia &er'ices Act, 1951,$
1i2 in s!"$section 112, after the (ords 7inc!ding the &tate of 8amm! and 9ashmir7, the (ords 7and
"y notification in the Officia 4a:ette7 sha "e inserted;

71<2 *'ery r!e made "y the 3entra 4o'ernment !nder this section and e'ery reg!ation made
!nder or in p!rs!ance of any s!ch r!e, sha "e aid, as soon as may "e after s!ch r!e or
reg!ation is made, "efore each =o!se of #ariament (hie it is in session for a tota period of
thirty days (hich may "e comprised in one session or in t(o or more s!ccessi'e sessions, and if,
"efore the e,piry of the session immediatey foo(ing the session or the s!ccessi'e sessions
aforesaid, "oth =o!ses agree in ma0ing any modification in s!ch r!e or reg!ation sho!d not "e
made, the r!e or reg!ation sha thereafter ha'e effect ony in s!ch modified form or "e of no
effect, as the case may "e; so, ho(e'er, that any s!ch modification or ann!ment sha "e (itho!t
pre>!dice to the 'aidity of anything pre'io!sy done !nder that r!e or reg!ation.7
