• 2 Seater Human Powered Vehicle (July 2010 – October 2010)
It is a 2-seater human powered vehicle designed and fabricated for SAE India’s Efficycle Event 2010 where the vehicle was ranked 8th based on design, utility, endurance and acceleration. The design of the vehicle was based on semi recumbent positioning of the driver. Transmission was all wheel drive with 2 drivers with 7-speed gear shifting mechanism and high pressure tyres (110psi) for the front wheels. Front suspension was rigid axle type whereas rear suspension was typical four bar bicycle suspension with stainless steel axle mounting plates. Vehicle consists of a self-designed articulated steering mechanism i.e. the chassis of the vehicle is split into two parts and attached using a knuckle-pin joint to get the desired turning of the vehicle.
