The main ob6ective of this report is to know about!oreign "#change $ %rade !inance
&'eration &( )ank Asia *td+. -or every bank and financial institution, it is very important to
satisfy their current customers and attract potential customers by providing new and innovative
ideas and services. -or this reason banks are changing their way of service for customers, recruit
good employees and trained them about customers relationship management. $nsatisfactory
service may cause negative word of mouth about the company and thus can be e(tremely
detrimental because it can reinforce the customers feelings of emptiness and spread that
negative impression to other present and potential customers.
I have worked in the %ank Asia )imited, Scotia %ranch for three months. As an intern, I had the
opportunity to do different types of tasks related of day-to-day banking, which increased my
knowledge about %ank Asia operations. The ma6or outcome of preparing this report is that
present smooth of satisfaction of the customers is outstanding. ?ustomers are satisfied with the
manner 5 politeness of the employees, %ranch environment, online service, time to complete a
service etc. At the end of the report, some recommendations regarding improvement of skill of
the employees, selection of %ranch location, online service facility enlargement, logistic support
to faster the service, promotional activities and more to improve the customer service.

,ducation doesnt have any prior definition and it doesnt confine among books, notes or classes.
,ducation is something, most likely a tool to reali*e or study the whole world and capitali*e the
accumulated knowledge for the development of the society and towards the business as well. The
short of education that we used to learn or gather from our childhood until university periods
totally based on the theoretical knowledge, which is only the half way of sub6ect matter. The
other half that is needed to complete the more technical term of education lies on its practical
e(periences combined together, it truly represents the real meaning of education in the conte(t of
the modern business world as well as resolving the imbalance between the halves

9.7. Academic Pre'aration=
Internship program is truly a new sort of e(perience for students like us, 6ust because it is the
stepping period of our life from a stage to another. It is the most crucial time of our whole
29
academic life to step further into the real corporate or business world. The types of study that we
have gathered in our previous academic session simply get into practical implementation in this
portion of time. So it is pretty much re4uired to merge the new stage of practical world with the
academic preparation we had earlier.
After working for /1 weeks as an internee, I had e(perienced all the department of the bank but I
figured out some of the relevances too within my academic preparationCma6or to the present
assignments and 6ob re4uirements of the organi*ation. )ike-
I am a !"# ma6or student, so I was hoping for a post that is somehow related with the !"#
department, so that I can enhance my academic preparation with practical e(perience, but my
main posting was there at foreign e(change department and then I posted at general banking and
foreign e(change department for few days which are directly related with the financial sub6ect
matter.
uring internship period they dont give any chance to give any report C assignment. There have
also problem of lack of motivation, which really a big problem.

The internship program is a partial re4uirement to take test of real life challenge conducted by
the intern who related %%A program with academic course, book knowledge in 6ob world,
reports make by the organi*ation way with data gathering. So in my opinion in our %%A

development in core sub6ect that interconnects international business as import and e(ports and
also develop better relationship with the customer. The banking internship gives opportunities to

<.7 /ecommendation=
I en6oyed very much my internship period %ank Asia )imited, Scotia %ranch has given me the
opportunity to do my internship program for three months and provided me a wide range of
scope to observe the different functions of bank through All %anking departments. %ank Asia
)imited, Scotia branch can some adopt of the following recommendation>
%ank Asia Scotia branch is well decorated and also having a talent pull of employees
There is no doubt, but there is a shortage of employees.
%ank Asia should get enhanced the employee in teller service and customer service as
8ell as foreign trade.
%ank should more concentration about all categories client.
%ank Asia operating software DST,A)," Should be changed, because most of the
time
It got problem and hampered working attention and also delayed time.
%ank Asia Scotia branch should have increase the number of supporting staff
&#essenger'.
%ank Asia should provide more stationery products..
They can increase the advertising of the %ank to highlight latest services of %ank Asia
)imited like other banks.
?an also provide some more attractive and deposit facilities and credit facilities.
They also can take incentives to provide high 4uality service.
,nsure accurate and swift services in the cash department.
Internal problem of the employees sometimes harasses normal customers to get service
faster.
They should give proper guidance for suggestion bo( service to customer.
They should give an introducer to help customer for opening account.
%ank Asia should offer different types of discount or advantage for car 5 home loan.
34
uring hortal time they should follow proper dress code.
<.9 0onclusion=
This report is the result of three months internship program in the Scotia branch of %ank Asia
)td. uring this three month period, I have got twelve week working days. Therefore, for three
departments, we got little more than four days on average. This period is certainly not enough for
understanding the various functions of the bank in depth. The purpose of the report was to do an
evaluation of the customer service 4uality and also providing some suggestions to improve
different aspects. ?ustomers service desk face tremendous pressure because of e(cessive
workload.
In my report, I have tried to reflect my understanding and e(perience that I have gathered as
correctly as possible. In spite of this, there may be some imperfections. After end of the report I
got learn so many things about foreign e(change related activities such as import, e(port,
procedure foreign remittance, and performance and trend analysis which gave me a vast
knowledge about money market, capital market, inflation, deflation, weak currency and strong
currency, measuring a percentage of growth year on year. In the retirement of report I would like
to give a thanks my academic supervisor whose support me to proceed and finish the report
successfully.
-rom the practical point of view I can declare boldly that I really have en6oyed my internship
program at that branch from the very first day.
