NEN Membership is most suitable for Academic Institutes that regard Entrepreneurship
Development as a way to build their institutes brand and their students future. Membership
benefits are many, some of which are illustrated below. When an Academic Institute is a
member, any number of its students and faculty members may access membership benefits. To
enable that, the Membership coordinator/s (faculty member/s) have to sign up their students and
faculty through a simple online mechanism to enable highest access.

Membership benefits therefore accrue to the Institute and its management at the highest level
and to the individual faculty, students, student entrepreneurs and institute startups at the next
level.

Institute capacity building resources are best leveraged by the Faculty leaders in
entrepreneurship. To maximize benefits for your institute, the Top management / Director of the
Institute must assign core responsibilities and accountability to maximize benefits to a team of at
least 2 faculty leaders who are working or will work in e-ship development. It will be the
responsibility of these faculty leaders to keep the management updated on development at the
institute.

KNOWLEDGE BUILDING CAPABILITY FOR ENTREPRENEURIAL LEADERSHIP

Faculty Training World-class experiential training methodology from basic to
advanced and mentor levels for faculty working in e-ship development; Faculty train in
Foundation level programs to begin with moving on to advanced levels both in
conceptual and pedagogical knowledge and skill. Advanced faculty are invited to hone
their skills in the Mentor development program enabling them to train and mentor
entrepreneurs. Faculty training programs and content is developed by NEN Trust
working with the most advanced thinkers in entrepreneurship development including
from Stanford, London Business School, Babson, IIM A, IIM B and others; at the same
time this content is highly tailored for needs in an emerging economy like India.

Student E Leaders Training Invitation to 2 Student E leaders per year to attend 1-
day leadership and e-ship skill-building workshops

First Dot Student Entrepreneur Workshops Annual training programs in
entrepreneurial skills to enable student entrepreneurs to better run their companies

NEN Structured Consultancy for yearly direction and planning Access to
structured guidance with an expert trained consultant to help set the overall direction
for the year and develop a structured plan of activities that will be run by the Faculty
and the E Cell of the campus. This would be within 60 days of sign up or at the
beginning of the year between April and July of a new fiscal year through carefully
structured workshops. The faculty and Student E Leaders would have the option of
availing of a workshop schedule from at least 2 options through advance notice.

Special support to National Events in E-ship for Student Entrepreneurs &
Entrepreneurs Structure, content, marketing and branding support to select national
level events from member institutes. The final decision on which events will be
supported specifically rests with the NEN Trust

National Awards Institutes and Faculty and E Cells are eligible to apply for WF-NEN
National Awards in E-ship Development and impact; Opportunity to build regional and

Scholarships One or more faculty member is eligible to apply for needs-based
scholarships to attend NEN FDPs up to a limit of Rs. 30,000 per year per institute.
Scholarships are not guaranteed, may be partial, and are needs-based after faculty
member has been admitted for the course
Eco-system Funding Institutes that systematically develop and show outcomes are
better suited to and able to lever available funding for innovation, entrepreneurship
and incubation from the eco-system. Such funding may be available from time to time
from government departments or from private sector


Please note: individual entrepreneurs, student entrepreneurs, students and faculty members
have to be registered with NEN to receive these benefits. A member Institutes faculty leader
can register their beneficiaries directly by using their login to the NEN Member System. You will
be issued a login id within 15 days of signing a NEN membership.
