". IceScrum usage
IceScrum is an open source application for managing Scrum development process. $e chose it from a number
of applications for managing development mostly because it is free to use& and it is well spread in the world.
'lso& main characteristic for this application is that it suits teams on different geographical locations& what
usually is not the case for Scrum management.
Since this is a server like application& we are hosting it on one of the servers we got from +,-. Its location is
http../0/.1*.02./333434.icescrum. 5sername and password is made for each member of our team& and is
distributed via email.
".1 'anaging stories
+irst thing we need to create in IceScrum is a story. This will be done by our project owner 6responsibility in
Scrum7& and in our case that is our project leader "uka Postru8in. "uka is responsible for creating new stories
from the re)uirements document. This process is mostly on adjusting the scope of a story& which needs to
correspond with some re)uirements. Sometimes this story will involve development and improvements of some
things in the process which are not defined in the re)uirements document.
"." 'anaging tas(s
Tasks are the main working units. There is an estimate of the workload and a description for each task. 9ne
story can have multiple tasks that should assure getting that story done. 'dding tasks will be done by either
project owner or scrum master 6:ristijan ;imuni<7. In some special occasions 6approval of project owner7& other
developers can also provide new tasks in the system.
".$ Sprints
Project owner is responsible of creating a sprint and making a valid sprint backlog from our product backlog
that is defined on the beginning of the project. Product backlog can be e=panded if project owner sees a need for
it. Sprint is started by project owner& and closed as well. 9ur definition of done is If it works& it is done. This is
mostly because of the time limit& and we will try to do our best on providing better )uality by the end of the
project.
".% )og in
's we have e=perienced some problems with multiple users in the system at the same time 6mostly because of
the hardware re)uirements7& we agreed on using tokens. 9n >ropbo= we have a folder called #IceScrum5sage%.
$hen someone wants to log in to IceScrum application& he should first make a new t=t file with his name in the
folder we mentioned before. If there are already two files 6or more7 in it& user should wait for someone to log
out. 'fter logging out& user should delete his token 6t=t file7 as this is the sign that he is not using IceScrum
anymore.
