DESCPIPTICN The mode| DKC-153 is a microprocessor contro||ed unit used to start and stop the genset manua||y using the key svitch and pushbuttons on the Iront pane|. When the engine is running, the unit monitors Iau|t conditions and shuts-dovn the engine automatica||y in the occurrence oI an a|arm. The a|arms are identiIied by a group oI LEDs disp|aying on|y the Iirst occurring one. The unit has jumper se|ectab|e options Ior 50/60Hz nomina| Irequency and the auxi|iary output Iunction. The se|ection is made by the position oI a sing|e jumper situated at the |eIt side pane| oI the unit. II tbe [umer |s |aced between: A & : 50Hz nomina|, AUX is Preheat output & C : 60Hz nomina|, AUX is Preheat output C & D : 60Hz nomina|, AUX is Stop output D & A : 50Hz nomina|, AUX is Stop output. ln the CFF position, the DC supp|y is removed Irom the modu|e, thus zero pover consumption is achieved. CPEPATICN The unit povers up vhen the PUN position on the Iront pane| is se|ected. lI required, the PPEHEAT/STCP ( ) button may be depressed as |ong as needed. This vi|| activate the AUXILIAPY re|ay output and the re|ated Iront pane| |ed marked ( ). The engine is started using the pushbutton marked CPANK (I). This vi|| a|so energize the Iue| so|enoid output. Once the engine is running, the svitch shou|d be re|eased. Hovever the interna| |ogic inhibits cranking vhen the engine Iires up. The a|arm checking is on|y enab|ed aIter the rctect|cn bc|d-cII t|mer is expired. This timer resets to 12 seconds iI. -the unit is povered up, -or CPANK (I) button is pressed, -or PPEHEAT/STCP ( ) button is pressed, -or the engine gets running.
The occurrence oI be|ov Iau|t signa|s (vhich are c|ose on Iau|t) vi|| cause the engine to be stopped immediate|y. -Cverseed, -Underseed, -H|gb eng|ne temerature, -Lcw c|| ressure, -Aux|||ary sbutdcwn. lI a Iau|t condition occurs, the FUEL so|enoid vi|| be deenergized. lI the auxi|iary output is set to Stc option, it vi|| be energized during stop timeout and the |ed associated vith this condition vi|| turn on. To reset the Iau|t condition, turn the svitch to the CFF position Ior a Iev seconds. The Cbarge Fa|| condition is treated as a varning on|y and do not cause the engine to stop. The input monitors the D termina| oI the charge a|ternator. A negative supp|y connection to this input vi|| cause the engine immediate|y stopped and an a|arm given (independent oI the protection ho|d-oII timer). CHAPGE: Connect the charge a|ternators D end to this termina|. This termina| vi|| supp|y the excitation current and measure the vo|tage oI the charge a|ternator.
CUTPUTS FUEL SCLENCID, STAPT, AUXILIAPY: These are Iu||y protected, negative pu||ing so|id state outputs. Each output is rated 1.2amps@28V-DC.
