link of their entry in order to generate as many Likes as possible. Online votes
shall make up a percentage of the overall score.

4. Criteria for judging are as follows:
i. Creativity and Originality 30%
ii. Relevance to the Theme 20%
iii. Clarity of Message and Social Impact 30%
iv. Online Votes 20%

5. Tips for Organizing the Content of the Bulletin Board:

Creativity - Creativity in a bulletin board can include the artful arrangement of
messages and the color scheme that organizes or creates a background for the
messages. Creativity draws the eye of the viewer and encourages engagement.
Board designers can create a sense of fun and importance through the use of
pictures, cartoons and different eye-catching fonts and font sizes.
Organization - A well-organized bulletin board presents information cleanly.
This does not prohibit messages and posts from overlapping, but encourages
overlaps or cross-postings that clarify or draw attention to the importance of the
messages.
Information The bulletin board must contain the required information or
content that adheres to the theme.

6. Judging for the first three criteria will be on July 14, 2014 (Monday); 3:00 P.M.

7. Online voting/liking for each entry will start on July 15, 2014 and will end on July
28, 2014, 11:00 P. M. The winning entry will receive a trophy and a Certificate of
Recognition on July 31, 2014 during the Flag Ceremony.

8. Non-winning entries will receive Certificates of Participation.

9. The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.

1. The English/Filipino teachers per grade/year level shall determine three (3) contestants to
represent the grade/ year level.

2. The theme of the essay writing contest shall be: Kalamidad paghandaan: Gutom at
malnutrisyon agapan! (Prepare for emergencies to prevent hunger and
malnutrition!)

3. All essays must be original and previously unpublished.

4. The contestants shall be provided with paper and ball pen by the contest point persons.

5. All entries will be pre-numbered. No signatures, names, or other identifying marks should
appear in any portion of the entry.

6. All entries must have at least 300 words and must not exceed 1000 words. There will be a
time limit to be announced during the contest.

7. The criteria for judging is as follows:
Content (relevance of topic, accuracy of data) 35%

Organization (unity of thought, flow of discussion) 35%
Is the main idea well developed throughout the essay? (20 points)
Is the essay well organized? (10 points)
Is the point of view consistent throughout? (5 points)

Style (Originality, creativity) 20%
Does the essay have a creative approach to a topic or theme? (15 points)
Do vocabulary and word usage enhance the essay? (5 points)

Mechanics (grammar, punctuation) 10%
Are spelling, capitalization, and punctuation correct? (4 points)
Is the sentence structure correct? (2 points)
Is the paragraphing appropriate? (2 points)
Is the essay consistent in tense? (2 points)

8. The contest will be held on July 21, 2014; 2:00 P.M. at the TMENHS Library.

9. The winning contestant will receive a medal and a Certificate of Recognition to be awarded
during the Flag Ceremony on July 31, 2014.

1. Each grade/ year level must form a team of two participants only.

2. The Participants will be provided with a -size illustration board and oil pastel but they
have to bring their own pencil and marker/pentel pen.

3. All entries must be new and original. There will be a time limit to be announced during
the contest.

4. All entries will be pre-numbered. No signatures, names, or other identifying marks
should appear in any portion of the entry.

5. The criteria for judging is as follows:

Relevance to the theme 40%
Creativity 25%
Visual impact 20%
Originality 15%
TOTAL 100%

6. The contest will be held on July 23, 9:00 A.M. at the TMENHS Library.

7. The winning contestant will receive a medal and a Certificate of Recognition to be
awarded during the Flag Ceremony on July 31, 2014.

1. All Grade/Year Level of TMENHS must be involve in the gardening activities.

2. Each Grade/Year level are in their pre-determined areas of responsibility.

3. Priority crops shall be those that can help address malnutrition problem in school, i.e.
protein energy malnutrition and micro nutrient malnutrition, like the following:
a. sources of protein- leguminous vegetables, beans, mongo, etc.
b. sources of calorie/energy rootcrops (gabi, camote, cassava, etc.)
c. sources of Vit. A and iron green leafy vegetables such as malunggay, saluyot,
alugbati, kangkong, sili, kulitis, pechay, etc.

4. Since the school has a limited space for gardening, alternative techniques such as porch
garden, window gardening, basket gardening, and the like should be adopted.

5. The criteria for judging is as follows:
