Dear Sir,

You are not eligible to receive the certificate in which Govt. of India
notification is printed. This certificate was started only for those who
passed Sections A & B Examinations in the revised scheme. Since you
have passed Sections A & B Examinations in old scheme, the combined
certificate already issued to you shall remain valid. However, a copy of
the notification of the Govt. of India can be sent on request.

As informed you earlier, the certificate with Govt. Notification printed on

it cannot be issued. If interested, we may issue a separate certificate to
you mentioning the Govt. Notification to serve the purpose.

Thank you for your reply to my query regarding new format of sec A &B pass
certificate and it is understood that the Institution of Engineers (India) is including
the following statement in the new pass certificates of secA&B

GOVT. OF INDIA IN CONTINUATION TO ITS EARLIER RECOGNITION HAS RECOGNISED"

PASSING OF SECTION A&B EXAMINATION AS REVISED CONDUCTED BY THE INSTITUTION OF
ENGINEERS (INDIA) AS EQUIVALENT TO DEGREE IN APPROPRIATE BRANCH IN ENGINEERING
OF THE RECOGNISED UNIVERSITIES IN INDIA AND HAS NOTIFIED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA
".PART I, SECTION I DATED FEB 11, 2006

I humbly request you (on behalf of many AMIE Engineers whoever passed in
the old scheme) to consider issuing a similar certificate at his/her request
according to the Government of India Ministry of Education & Social
welfare No.F.18-4/78-T.7 notification as,

"A pass in Sections A& B of the Institution Examinations of the

Institution of Engineers(India) is recognized by the Government of India
at par with a Bachelor's Degree in the appropriate field of Engineering
from a recognized Indian University and has notified in the Government
of India Ministry of Education & Social welfare, No.F.18-4/78-T.7, dated
16th Aug.1978"

I hope my request is justifiable and having the equivalency status printed on our
certificates may resolve the complications we are facing in our career especially
.for overseas AMIE Engineers including myself
