Specific Guidance Team, at the province level. 6 Guidance Departament Areas of work The functions to be developed by the schools Guidance Department covers four major areas of work: School organisation. Tutoring action. Attention to diversity. And professional and academic guidance. 7 Guidance Departament Staff members Head of Department (psychology and/or pedagogy specialist). Therapeutic pedagogy teacher and, if applicable, audition and language specialist. A tutor for each of the sociolinguistic and scientific- technological fields. Other staff members, depending on school type. 8 Guidance Departament Working tools Use of: questionnaires, group techniques, interviews, observation, psycho-pedagogic assessment tests, etc. Implementation and follow-up of programmes such as: cognitive work techniques, reading comprehension, professional and academic guidance, etc. Carrying out of informative meetings with both students and their families. 9 Guidance Departament Working tools Carrying out of coordination meetings with teachers.
