it is spoken, written or signs that is based on a system of symbols. 2. How important Language is? Language as defined is a form of communication, thus, it is very important in all aspect in order for us to communicate and to create understanding that contribute peace and harmony for all of us.
3. What languages have some common characteristics to all human? These includes infinite generatively and organizational rules. 4. What are the Languages ruler systems? These are the organization involve 5 system of rules.
Infinite generativity is the ability to produce an endless number of meaningful sentences using finite set of words and rules.

5. What is Phonology? It is a language consists of rules regading how sounds are perceived as different and which sounds sequences and occurs in the language. Ex. Sp, ba and ar / k-sound ski, c-sound- cat 6. What is the basic sound in a Language? Phoneme is the basic sound in unit of sound that affects meaning. 7. What is Morphology? It refers to the units of meaning involved in word for nation. A morphene is a unit of sound that conveys a specific meaning. Every word in English language is made up of one or more morphemes.
Ex. Help is a single morpheme. Help +er more than one morpheme.
Morphemes ave may jobs in grammar, such as marking tense
Ex. She walks versus she walked and number- she walks versus they walk.
8. What is SYNTAX? Involves the way words are combined to form acceptable phrases and sentences. Ex. Of short sentences
The cat killed the mouse. The mouse ate the cheese. The farmer chases the cat.
Ex. Of more complex sentences The farmer chases the cat that killed the mouse.
The mouse that the cat killed ate the cheese.
9. What is Semantics? It is the meaning of words and sentences.
Ex. Of a sentence The bicycle talked the boy into buying a candy bar is syntactically correct. The sentence violates our semantic knowledge that bicycle cannot talk.
10. What is Pragmatics? Pragmatics is the appropriate use of language in context.
11. What are the Rule Systems of Language? Rule system Description Examples 1. Phonology The sound system of a language. A phoneme is the smallest sound unit in a language. The word chat has tree phonemes or sounds: /ch/ /a/ /t/. An example of Phonological rule in the English consonant cluster (such as track or drab), the phoneme /l/ cannot follow these letters. 2. Morphology The system of meaningful units involved in word formation. The smallest sound units than have a meaning are called morphemes, or meaning unit; it cannot be broken down any further and still have meaning. When the suffix s is added, the word becomes girls and has two morphemes because the s changed the meaning of the word, indicating that there is more than one girl. 3. Syntax The system that involves the way words are combined to form acceptable prases and sentences. Word order is very important in determining meaning in the English language. For example the sentence, Sebastian pushed the bike has a different meaning than the bike pushed Sebastian. 4. Semantics The system that involves the meaning of words and sentences. Knowing the meaning of individual words- that is, vocabulary. For example, semantics includes knowing the meaning of such words as orange, transportation and intelligent. 5. Pragmatics The system of using appropriate conversation and knowledge of how to effectively use language in context. An example is using polite language in appropriate situations, such as being mannerly wen talking with ones teacher. Taking turns in a conversation involve pragmatics.
