10% of 650 by 40, what is the
number?

##  Let us assume the number to be X.

 .2x – 65 = 40
 .2X = 105
 X = 105/.2

Sides of a triangle are in ratio
of 1/3: ¼: 1/5, their perimeter
is 94 CM, what is the smaller
side?
 Perimeter = sum of sides
 The let us take LCM of 3,4,5 = 60
 Let us multiply the 3 ratios with 60
 60*1/3 = 20, 60*1/4 = 15 and 60*1/5 = 12
 We get new ratio: 20:15:12.
 Let us assume that the sides are 20x, 15x,12x.
 20x+15x+12x = 94
 47x =94, X = 2
 Sides are : 40,30 & 24. The smaller side is 24

 Letus assume the numbers to be 3x
& 4x.
 Their LCM is 12x.
 Thus 12 X = 180
 X = 180/12 = 15

 Total earnings of the person are : 385
 Total investment (in 3schemes) = 8500
 The 4th scheme had Rs. 1500 invested.
 Returns : 60 + 140 + 125 = 325.
 Thus in 4th scheme he got 60 against 1500

How much water should be
added so that water is 12.5%
of the mixture?
 Now milk is 63 and water 7 liters.
Now milk is 63 and water 7 liters.
 Now we have to increase quantity of water
to 12.5 or the quantity of milk will be
87.5%. In order to get the new quantity,
let us multiply 63 (quantity of milk) with
100/87.5
 63*100/87.5 = 72. (new total quantity)

 Selling price = 140

 Cost is 100*40/100 = 40
 100/40 *100 = 250%

##  Let us assume cost = 100. Profit = 20

 Selling price = 100+20 = 120.
 Thus cost of 20 blocks is : 60 *100/120 =
50.
 Cost of 20 blocks is Rs. 50 (2.5 Rupees
per block).
 Thus in Rs. 60 I buy 60/2.5 = 24 blocks.

 Let us assume that I am selling Rs. 1 per 1 Gram.
 When I sell 1000 grams, I am actually selling 800
grams.
 My cost is Rs. 800. My margin is : 30% (for 1000
grams) 300. My selling price is Rs. 1300. I give
25% discount – which is 1300*.75 = 975. thus I

 Convert ratio of DWA = LCM of 5,4,2 is 20.
Let us multiply 20 to all these numbers:
 New ratio: 10:12: 15.
 A is common between these 2 ratios.
 Multiply ABC by 15 and and DWA by 2.
 ABC = 30:60:105; DWA: 20:24:30.
 Thus D:C = 20:105 or 4:21 answer.
