LISTENING:

(1) In order to improve Listening, I will suggest you watch movies/programs in English
Language which will improve your vocabulary and you will get familiarized with various
accents of English Language
(2) It is important to have good vocabulary so as soon as you hear a word whose meaning you
don't know, look for it in the dictionary. The better the vocabulary, the better will be your chance
of understanding the audio in Listening
READING:
(1) Set 15 minutes for the first paragraph. Read it as quickly as possible within 1/2 minutes in
order to get a general understanding of the passage and then try to answer all the questions. As
soon as 15 minutes are over, switch to second paragraph whether or not you have answered all
the question of paragraph 1. Set 15 minutes for paragraph 2 and adopt the same strategy as
paragraph 1. As soon as 15 minutes for paragraph 2 end, switch to 3rd paragraph and repeat the
same procedure
(2) After 45 minutes (15+15+15) now transfer all the answers to the answer sheet. After having
transferred answers to the answer sheet then go for the remaining questions and try to find the
answers to them in remaining 10 minutes or whatever the time you are left with
WRITING:
Set 20 minutes for task 1. Actually there is no set format in my mind for Task 1. I can give you a
general rule and that is to "keep it as summarized as possible" Try to give as much information in
as much less words as you can. You are asked to write 150 words at least 150 words. Bands are
deducted of your word count is less than 150. Write around 160-180 words. I wrote 179 words
As soon as 20 minutes pass, move on to Task-2 whether or not you have completed Task-1. I
have a format for Task-2
Introductory Paragraph First side of the argument (the one you support) Second side of the
argument (which you are against but you have to mention it in order to balance your writing)
Conclusion (in which you mention positives/negatives of both and justify that the argument you
support is better of the two)
words should be 250-300. I wrote 291 words
SPEAKING:
