Dear Cailly Family,

It has been a pleasure learning about your familys interests and desires regarding having an au
pair. One of the reasons I believe we are very well suited for one another, is because we
understand the value of cultural immersion. Having grown up on an independently owned and
operated cattle farm in Prior Lake, Minnesota, I was exposed to 23 foreign agriculture students
who worked for and lived with us. These students came from all over the worldEngland,
Denmark, New Zealand, Australia, Finland, South Africa, and Germany. At the young age of
nine, I quickly developed an awareness and appreciation for others ideas and customs. I am
looking forward to having a similar, positive impact on Quentin and Albane and I am very eager
to learn from them, as well!

Growing up, I was also privileged to have a very close and large family, consisting of nearly 30
cousins and three siblings. My most memorable experiences and valuable life lessons came from
time spent with my relatives, whose generosity, kindness, and encouragement have inspired me
to pass it on! My childcare experience for the past two years has included watching over my
cousin's two children, Kennedy (8 years) and Emerson (2 years). I was responsible for preparing
meals, helping with homework, bringing Kennedy to school, and cleaning and clothing. In our
free time together, we loved to play word games, read books, and go outside for fresh air and
exercise. Thus, I am capable of providing childcare support that is integrated into your family
structure. I look forward to being a big sister for Quentin and Albane and to explore and
support the interests of each.

Au pairing is also the perfect opportunity for your family and me to strengthen our bilingual
skills. In high school I took French for three years and I continued with Latin into college.
During my undergraduate degree I studied Art Historya field where French fluency is
especially important. Within the next three years I will apply for graduate school programs in
Paris. I would like to become an art specialist in 19
th
century French prints and paintings at a fine
art auction house. Thus, foreign language acquisition is very important for my future academic
and professional aspirations. Similarly, I know how important it is to you that Quentin and
Albane learn English. My goal is to make learning English engaging and fun for them, and
through it they will learn about my culture, as well!

I am a believer in self-growth and this opportunity is ideal for me to inspire and teach others,
while coming into my own, as well! I will bring to your family a positive outlook on life, a
healthy lifestyle, and a passion to educate and to learn. I cannot wait to become a part of your
lovely family!

Sincerely,
Heidi Feldman
