Project Rising Spirit created Bloodshot to be the perfect weapon. They
infused him with nanites that provided him with an extraordinary array of
powers, allowing him to accomplish missions with lethal accuracy. He was
frequently sent to capture super-powered individuals known as psiots,
many of them children. However, Bloodshot freed himself from his
programming and turned on his masters, assaulting the P.R.S. facility
where many of the psiots were held. During the conagration, Bloodshot
liberated many psiots, but the children were separated into two groups
amid the chaos. One is led by Bloodshot, who has led them to an
abandoned town in the Nevada desert. A second group led by a psiot
named Cronus and calling themselves Generation Zero has taken over the
Bellagio in Las Vegas.
Project Rising Spirit, however, want the psiots back, and they arent the
only ones. Toyo Harada leader of the Harbinger Foundation, which trains
psiots for a private army, has led a team of his top soldiers to confront
Bloodshot in the ghost town.
Meanwhile, Peter Stancheck a former Harada pupil who had a falling-
out with his would-be mentor has been sent by the enigmatic precog
known as the Bleeding Monk to save the children. He leads his Renegades

By breaking into Project Rising Spirit, I had hoped to find out who I really am. Instead of my identity,
I found all these these kids that P.R.S. has kept imprisoned for God knows how long. Kids with psionic
powers, no less.
Shouldve just left them, but I couldnt. Not with them being kept under those conditions. Locked
up. Experimented on. Tortured. They might find me scary at times, but I am not a monster.
The memories in my head tell me Im an actual father, not just a surrogate one. I know theyre are
all manufactured memories. Maybe the reason I believe in these memories so strongly is because I do
have a real son or daughter out there somewherefalse memories or not.
These kids tell me I stole them all away from their parents years ago. Maybe I didDr. Kuretich
told me my mind was wiped after each mission. So I am responsible for each and every one of
them, regardless of how dangerous P.R.S. claimed they were. Theyre not dangerous. Theyre young.
Impressionable. And I need to do right by them.
Of all the bunch, I worry most about Baxter, Clem, and Kalea.
Baxter jumps at his own shadows, which is perfectly reasonable when his nightmares can become
real and run amok without him able to control them. I try not to spook him if I can help it. Thats pretty
hard, considering Im scary even when I try not to be.
Kalea and Clem are pretty much inseparable. They joke about being the Puppet Master when they
work together, but theyre really effective at what they do. Kalea clouds a persons thoughts to lower
their defenses, and Clem sweeps right in and makes that person do whatever he wants. Fortunately,
my messed-up brain makes it nearly impossible for them to affect me.
Both of them offered to take a look inside my head and try to dig out my original identitythe
one hiding beneath countless years of P.R.S. memory wipes. I turned them down.
Took me awhile to figure out why I did that.
Im afraid.
Im afraid of what theyll find. What they wont find.

Radio Communication from Dr. Emmanuel Kuretich
Bloodshot, you dont have a lot of time. Project Rising Spirits Nevada base
doesnt know youre coming, but theyll discover your inside source before too
long. The nanites you managed to sneak into the bases system will buy you only
a limited window. You need to get in and out as fast as you can. Get past the
first two rings of security, and youll find the Vault, the nerve center of P.R.S.s
whole operation. You take that down, and youll take down these monsters that
made you into what you are.
Id wish you luck, but you clearly dont need it.
Bloodshots Resolve
I cant take this anymore: my heads so full of fake memories that its
empty of anything that might matter. If I can just make it to the second ring
of Project Rising Spirits base and find the Vault, I can finally find the server
that will tell me who I really am. I can finally be free of P.R.S.s meddling.
You ready, Goldies? Then lets do this.
PSIOT KIDS OBJECTIVES
Prepare for Bloodshots arrival at the Nursery
Flee from Bloodshot OR help Bloodshot
Escape the P.R.S. facility
3 BLOODSHOT MISSION BRIEFS
Derek Armstrong (order #5983480)
BLOODSHOT, PART 1: FORCED ENTRY
THE SETTING
For Bloodshot: Hidden in the Nevada desert,
one of Project Rising Spirits primary facilities houses
a maximum security section known only as the Vault.
The base itself is surrounded by a large wall crawling
with P.R.S. security outfitted in military gear.
For the psiot children: Inside the Nursery, a
part of the base that is deep underground, P.R.S.
soldiers guard all of the psiot children. A video
monitor on the wall shows an intruder in the base:
a man with stark gray skin, red eyes, and a red circle
in the middle of his chest. This is the Psiot Killer, the
weapon known only as Bloodshot.
ENEMIES/OBSTACLES
This scene begins with the players split into
two groups: Bloodshot by himself and the three
psiot children characters together in the Nursery.
The two groups will act simultaneously, but they
will remain apart until they find each other. While
the two groups are separate, each group has its own
set of Objectives (some of which overlap with the
other group).
Scene 1: Bloodshot approaches the P.R.S. base
alone. He will need to infiltrate the bases outer wall,
gain access to the main facility, and find the Vault.
The wall is monitored by P.R.S. security guards; the
guards will not attack if Bloodshot remains hidden
or disguised. The interior of the base has a body
scanner at the front of the main hallway. Bloodshot
must pass an Intelligence Challenge to locate the
scanner or he will set it off by accident. If he IDs the
scanner, he can try to bypass, disable, or destroy it
by any means, or he can purposely set it off to alert
the base that he has arrived. If he sets the scanner
off, he must make an Action roll against a bank of
six automated sentry guns protecting the hallway;
each gun has Action D8. Every failed Action roll
inflicts 2 damage on Bloodshot.
During Bloodshots infiltration, the psiot
children in the Nursery will know there is a security
situation and can see Bloodshot on the video
monitors. Since Bloodshot originally kidnapped
these children for P.R.S. back when he was still a
mindless P.R.S. weapon, the psiot kids are afraid of
him and should plan to stop him when he arrives.
The kids can also use Bloodshots infiltration as a
diversion to plan their escape from the facility.
Scene 2: When Bloodshot enters the Vault,
he finds the Nursery instead of the computer
servers he expected. Half of the psiot kids are
cowering from Bloodshot, but the rest are ready
to use their psionic powers on him. Members of
CHAINSAW, P.R.S.s elite force of cybernetically
enhanced soldiers, appear on the scene to contain
the situation, even if it means putting down the
kids. The kids will have to make a decision: join
Bloodshot in the fight against CHAINSAW or use
the confusion as a chance to escape.

DEAR THOUGHT-DIARY:
<So, its been a few hours since I tried to flush you. And Im really sorry about that. I had few real
friends back in the Nurseryand I have even fewer friends now that Christian and the others in his cell
block stole that helicopterso Ill take all the friends I can get, even if one of them happens to be a stupid
thought recorder that Gamma gave me. Clem and Baxter already threw theirs out, so they have to resort
to talking with actual people.>
<I dont even have the strength to talk now, anyway. Weve been out here walking in the desert for
so long that I dont think were going to make it. Any second now, some of the Nursery guards or those
cyborg freaks that Bloodshot fought are going to catch up with us and kill us. But anyone with powers
like mine will have a hard time taking Bloodshot out of the picture. My powers dont seem to work on
him at all. None of ours do cept for maybe Baxters, but none of us are brave enough to convince the
little guy to use his nightmare against our rescuer. We probably wouldnt be here if Bloodshot the Psiot
Killer hadnt sprung us in the first place.>
<I just dont get this guy. I mean, why would Bloodshot steal me from my parents years ago only to come
steal me back from the same people who held me prisoner? It doesnt make sense. Why is he helping us?>
<Whatever. Doesnt matter if we all die out here in the desert. And I really have to use the bathroom.>
<>
<Whats that up ahead? It looks like a town!>
<>
<This abandoned town is super creepy. Theres nobody here but us, and were all a little jumpy. Im
surprised Baxter hasnt already unleashed his monster on us by accident.>
Radio Communication from Dr. Emmanuel Kuretich
Bloodshot, I know youre probably not going to respond to me, but please
hear me out. I guarantee you I had no idea those psiot kids were being held
where the Vault should have been. I escaped from Project Rising Spirit long
enough ago that they must have already shuffled things around to prevent
security leaks like me from accessing classified information.
Once you get those kids to a safe place, we need to convene and assess
our next course of action. Ill see if I cant figure out what P.R.S. did with the
Vault. We will find out who you really are. You probably dont remember this
since your mind has been wiped hundreds of times over the years, but I made
you a promise years ago, and I intend to keep it.
5 BLOODSHOT MISSION BRIEFS
Derek Armstrong (order #5983480)
BLOODSHOT, PART 2: THE HARADA PROTOCOL
THE SETTING
After spending the night walking through the
Nevada desert, this tiny resort town is a welcome
sight, despite it being abandoned and falling apart.
Before Bloodshot attacked the P.R.S. base, he had
planned for this ghost town to be his fallback point.
A military-grade armored car, food, and clean water
sit in a big garage near the edge of town. Wired
blocks of C4 have been placed on various buildings
around the town.
ENEMIES/OBSTACLES
At any point during this Event, Bloodshot may
spend a Narration to detonate all of the C4 he placed
around the town (he still suffers negative effects if
the Harada Protocol is in effect). The explosion rolls
a D12 Action die against all NPCs; any NPC that loses
the Action roll suffers D6 damage.
Scene 1: Toyo Harada and two of his
Eggbreaker psiots arrive in the town. Harada reveals
that Dr. Kuretich has been helping him secure the
psiot children so he can take them to the safety of
the Harbinger Foundation, where they wont be a
danger to anyone.
After this revelation, Bloodshots Harada
Protocol goes into effect. The Protocol is a
programmed set of instructions P.R.S. buried so
deeply into Bloodshots mind that not even Dr.
Kuretich had known about it.
Harada Protocol: The Protocol triggers
the following effects, which will remain until
Bloodshot reboots his nanite systems (see Scene
2). Bloodshot files into an uncontrollable rage and
must spend every Narration attacking Harada.
In any Narration where he chooses not to attack
Harada, the Protocol punishes Bloodshot by
zapping his brain and dealing 3 Health (ignore
Armor). Any time Bloodshot makes a successful
Action roll against Harada, the Protocol rewards
Bloodshot by healing 1 Health. Bloodshot also
gains the Synaptic Disruption weapon (6 damage,
Close OK, Near 2, Far ).
The scene ends when either Bloodshot or
Harada is Staggered or Knocked Out.
Scene 2: Both Bloodshot and Harada are in bad
shape. If Bloodshot is Staggered or Knocked Out,
he may only spend Narrations to use his Nanite
Regeneration Power to regain consciousness.
If Harada is Staggered or Knocked Out, he
automatically goes into a protective psionic bubble
to begin his recovery, and his Eggbreakers move in
to defend him.
Since the Harada Protocol endangers both
Bloodshot and the psiot children, Bloodshot must
reboot the nanite systems that forced the Harada
Protocol into effect. To trigger the reboot, he may
attempt one Intellect Challenge per Narration.
Once the Challenge has passed, the reboot will
take two Narrations to complete, during which time
Bloodshot can only use his Nanite Regeneration
Power. Until the reboot finishes, the psiot children
must fend off the Eggbreakers by themselves.
Both Cloud and Headspace are old enough
to reach the pedals of the armored car (15 Armor,
Action Die D6) parked in the nearby garage.
Whoever is driving can use the cars Action die to
ram somebody (Damage D4, Close OK, Near ,
Far). If the target wins the Action roll, then the
car accidentally rams Bloodshot instead.
6 BLOODSHOT MISSION BRIEFS
Derek Armstrong (order #5983480)
THE RENEGADES, PART 1: ON THE RUN BLOODSHOT, PART 3: PROMISES BROKEN
DEAR THOUGHT-DIARY:
<Ill be honest: Bloodshots not doing too good. Ive seen him take quite a beating before, but not
like this. Not like this. The run-in with that Asian guy tore up his whole face, and he just looks Ugh. I can
barely stand to look at him, and I really feel sorry for him. Im surprised Baxter didnt accidentally release
his monster the first time he saw what happened to Bloodshot >
<Me, Clem, and Baxterwe tried to help Bloodshot, but that Asian dude was way too strong, even
after Bloodshot wailed on him like some crazed psychopath. Just by looking at that guy, I felt his fingers
digging into my brain. I thought my head was going to pop like a zit! But we made it out. Barely.>
<Oh, and we know where Christian and the others got to! Katherine still has a psychic connection
with her brother James, so were heading to meet up with them. So long as we psiots can all stick together,
everything will be okay.>
<Of course, if we cant find a way to fix Bloodshot, we might not even make it to meet up with the
others. Im not psychic or anythingand no, Thought-Diary, muddling peoples thoughts doesnt let me
predict the futurebut I have this feeling someones still after us. We cant wait here forever. What are
we supposed to do?>
<Everything is going to be okay. Im just going to keep telling myself that until its true.>
Radio Communication from Dr. Emmanuel Kuretich
All right, Bloodshot. I get it. You think I betrayed you, and you dont want
to talk to me anymore. So then just listen. Those kids with you? Well, there
are more of them. Some of the psiot kids managed to steal the bases escape
helicopter, and they crashed it into the Bellagio in Vegas. If you want to protect
all of those kids from P.R.S., then youd better head to Vegas. Word is, some
renegade Harbinger Foundation students already found the kids and theyll hand
them over to P.R.S. if you dont do something. So, if you dont want to see those
kids clapped in irons and trotted off to another dark dungeon like the one
you just broke them out of, youll have to take out these renegades. So stop
thinking about yourself and maybe do something a little selfless for a change.

Derek Armstrong (order #5983480)
BLOODSHOT, PART 3: PROMISES BROKEN
THE SETTING
Bloodshot needs some protein to regenerate
himself after his disastrous run-in with Toyo
Harada, and the only nearby place where he can
find enough protein is a meat processing plant
Gangemi Meat Solutionsat the outskirts of a small
town. The plant itself looks ordinary, but one of the
psiot children says, This whole building is crying.
ENEMIES/OBSTACLES
Bloodshot retains all Armor and Health
damage he sustained in the previous Event. Until
he finds a sufficiently large supply of protein to
power his nanites, his Nanite Regeneration Power
heals only Health pips when used. His Armor pips
can still be restored by using Plot Points or items.
Scene 1: Bloodshot investigates the plant
alone, although one of the children may secretly try
to follow him. The rest will remain in the armored
car (for now).
Inside the plant, Dr. Kuretich and some
Harbinger Foundation soldiers confront Bloodshot
and claim the Harada Protocol embedded in
his brain means he is too dangerous to live. The
plant itself contains several hazards, such as large
conveyor belts, meat hooks suspended from tracks
in the ceiling, industrial meat grinders, and so on.
Dismemberment: Due to Bloodshots weakened
state, if he has no Armor remaining whenever he
suffers damage, he will lose a limb (players choice)
from that attack. If Bloodshot loses any three
limbs and is still conscious, he will gain enough
desperation to use the Synaptic Disruption weapon
(6 damage, Close OK, Near OK, Far ), which
automatically hits all targets in range (including
any psiot children with him).
When fighting starts inside the plant, Harbinger
Foundation soldiers surround the kids that are
outside. The soldiers use devices that put the
armored car on magnetic lockdown, which makes
escape extremely difficult. The kids are trapped in
the car and will need to find a way out before the
soldiers can pump the car with knockout gas. From
inside, the cars ballistic glass and doors have 10
Armor. After escaping from the car, the children can
face the soldiers or follow Bloodshot into the plant.
When Dr. Kuretich is killed, the rest of the
soldiers (if any) will attempt to flee.
Scene 2: Once Bloodshot has replenished his
protein reserves from the plants livestock, all of his
damage will be restored and his missing limbs (if
any) will regenerate.
The group then drives the armored car
toward Las Vegas to find the other group of psiot
children. At the outskirts of the city, however, the
U.S. military has blockaded the city: no one gets in
or out without permission. The group will need to
find a way past the blockade, either by subterfuge
or force.
8 BLOODSHOT MISSION BRIEFS
Derek Armstrong (order #5983480)
THE RENEGADES, PART 1: ON THE RUN BLOODSHOT, PART 4: SHOWDOWN ON THE STRIP
DEAR THOUGHT-DIARY:
<Im glad Bloodshot is feeling better. Back when he was tore up, I thought maybe those soldiers
might come finish the job, and either recapture us or put us down. But they didnt. Me, Clem, Baxter, and
the otherswe held our own. Now that we dont have guards hovering over us and telling us what we
can and cant do, it feels good to be free. Maybe from here on, we can use our powers to help people.>
<Although, I gotta admit: it is fun to team up with Clem and mess with peoples heads. We pestered
Bloodshot to stop at this gas station awhile back, and Clem and I convinced the attendant that this giant
army truckcar, van, whateverthat were driving is actually some decade-old soccer mom van. And
he totally fell for it. Then we convinced him that wed already paid for the armload of junk food we walked
out with. Man, how long has it been since I had actual junk food?>
<Back when we were stuck in cages in the Nursery, I used to think having powers was a curse, and
the Nursery was my punishment. But now? My powers dont feel like a curse anymore. I actually feel good
about myself now. And I want to use my powers any way I can to make sure no one else ends up tossed
in some cell like we were.>
<But first, we gotta rescue Christian and the others from the same people that tried to steal us away
from Bloodshot, back in that ghost town. Once we do that, well be like an unstoppable mini army
Bloodshot and usand we can start helping people who cant help themselves.>
Bloodshots Resolve
Kuretich lied to me. Tried to kill me for good. Just because I am something
he knew he would never have full control over. He used me for his own gain.
Tried to put a leash on me like I was some dog to be trained. Before he died,
he said he made me a promise. My mind has been wiped so many times that I
will never know what he meant. But that doesnt matter anymore. Hes worm
food. Hell never trouble me or these kids ever again. His master, thoughthe
one pulling his stringswill be a problem.
I went into Project Rising Spirit to find my real name. To find out who I
am. Maybe I didnt find my name in the Vault, but I did discover something
about myself. I have to protect these kids. Theyre not exactly defenseless, but
something deep inside tells me that if I had abandoned them, they would die.
Im walking proof that P.R.S. doesnt like to leave loose ends.
Protecting these kids means ensuring they all stick together. Which means
heading to Vegas to gather up the other psiot kids that crashed into the
Bellagio. But the info came from Kuretich, so were all heading into a trap.
Good thing I came prepared.

BLOODSHOT, PART 4: SHOWDOWN ON THE STRIP
THE SETTING
The Vegas Strip near the Bellagio is completely
empty and feels like a ghost town. Cars sit
abandoned. Countless fliers and other discarded
advertisements hitch a ride on the wind to flit lazily
across Las Vegas Boulevard.
A crashed helicopter with four rotors is sticking
precariously out of the Bellagios penthouse. This is
where the other group of psiot kidsnow calling
themselves Generation Zeroended up after
escaping the P.R.S. base.
ENEMIES/OBSTACLES
Scene 1: The group is travelling into Las Vegas
in the armored car (Armor 15, Action die D6). If
the kids mind-controlled the troops at the military
blockade in the previous Event, the group will also
have a military escort consisting of two Humvees
(12 Armor each).
While the car approaches the Bellagio on the
road, four of the Renegades (believed by the group
to be Harbinger Foundation students loyal to Toyo
Harada) try to intercept the car. The cars driver
(anyone but Baxter) may use the cars Action die
to ram somebody (Damage D4, Close OK, Near ,
Far). If the roll fails, the Renegade automatically
damages the car instead.
Renegades attempting to damage the car will
roll their Action die against the cars.
When the armored cars Armor is depleted, the
car will crash, and each occupant must pass a Might
Challenge or suffer 2 points of damage.
Scene 2: Once the car has been wrecked, the
battle against the Renegades continues on the
street in front of the Bellagio. The Renegades will
do everything in their power to prevent the group
from entering the Bellagio.
At any point in the battle (LNs discretion), a
pair of F-22s from a nearby Air Force base attempt
to eliminate the threat the escaped psiots pose.
The fighters launch missiles at the Bellagio, and the
explosion dislodges the crashed helicopter. Anyone
still on the streetplayer or NPCthat fails a Might
Challenge when the helicopter falls will suffer D6
damage from falling debris.
Scene 3: After the Renegades have been
defeated or flee from the scene, Toyo Harada
(at full Armor and Health) and his Eggbreakers
will arrive to secure both Bloodshots psiots and
the Generation Zero psiots. Bloodshots Harada
Protocol does not engage this time, due to him
having rebooted his systems.
Harada is determined to steal the children from
Bloodshot. In this battle, Harada will pull no punches:
every successful Action or Power roll he makes that
deals damage increases the damage by 1.
The group can choose to either confront
Harada head on or try to escape.
AFTERMATH
If Bloodshot and the psiots prevail
Bloodshot: Project Rising Spirit got it all
wrong. I didnt even need the Harada Protocol to
defeat the one psiot they feared the most. An old
man is an old man, no matter what psionic powers
he uses to cover it up.
So what happens now? I dont know how to
take care of this many kids, not if organizations like
P.R.S. and the Harbinger Foundation are still out
there trying to kill or capture them
If Harada prevails
Harada: Project Rising Spirit thought they could
gather up and torture psiots for their own amusement.
Well, that ends today. The P.R.S. base here in Nevada is
a smoking ruin, and now, thanks to Bloodshot, I have
all of the children they were torturing.
I will teach these children what it means to be
a psiot. I will teach them that we alone have the
power to change the course of human history for
the better.
