from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur carrying 280 passengers and 15 crew members. The passenger liner came
down close to the town of Shaktarsk in Ukraines rebellion-wracked region of Donetsk after disappearing from
the radar and teams from the emergency services were trying to reach the scene, Russian media quoted an
unnamed security source as saying. Reports also say that it was a ground-to-air missile or surface-to-air missile
that shot down the plane.
According to the Malaysian Airlines, the Ukrainian Air Traffic Control lost contact with the Flight MH17 at
1415 GMT at 30km from Tamak waypoint, almost 50 kilometers.

Some details of the flight are mentioned above.
Around 100 of the passengers on the downed plane were reportedly AIDS researchers, other medical
personnel and activists heading to the International AIDS Society conference in Melbourne. By chance in the
flight MH 370 also there were Scientists . There seems to be similairity in the both Flights.

Herald. The Australian is reporting the number as slightly higher: 108.

In the transcript released by Ukraines security agency SBU, Bezler says: We have just shot down a
plane. It fell down beyond Yenakievo (Donetsk Oblast). The plane fell apart in the air. In the area of

code word for a dead person, it said.
The second intercepted signal was apparently between militants code named Major and Greek
