September
iv. Council Member Benson asked
about why have a rated bond compared
to non rated - Mr. Eilertson explained

the grant
NEW BUSINESS:
Cenex 4th Addition Public Improvements Hearing - Hearing opened up at
7:54pm by Mayor Holmes. No input
was given by the public. Administrator
Boulton explained that Cenex 4th Addition would involve the development of
the current Outlot A. This would involve
engineering estimates of $743,102 to
conduct dirt work, road and utility installation. The dirt work will be completed
by Concast with the assumption that an
estimated $232,000 of the $743,102
would be included. The estimated
$232,000 in dirt work would be a credit
to the development costs of the lots that
Concast will eventually trade the
Wanamingo EDA for. The remaining
$500,102 engineering estimate would
pay for road and utility installation. Hearing
Closed at 8:03pm by Mayor Holmes.

ZUMBROTA An innovative
and versatile performer and composer, acoustic guitarist Billy
McLaughlin will perform along
with surprise guests at Crossings
on Friday, July 26, at 8 p.m.
While studying guitar at the
University of Southern California, McLaughlin developed his
signature style placing both hands
on the fret board and wielding a
series of hammer-ons and pulloffs to create a harp-like effect
on the acoustic guitar. McLaughlin
also embraces the advantages of
acoustic guitar amplification and
altered tunings.
McLaughlins work has been
on Billboards Top-Ten Chart
Fingerdance, peaked at number

seven and hes toured around

the world. Audiences today would
never suspect that the music
McLaughlin delivers at every performance is played left-handed by
a right-handed musician.
A decade ago, McLaughlins
career fell victim to a neurological disease called focal dystonia.
It made the muscles of his hand
involuntarily clench, and he became unable to play most of his

repertoire.
McLaughlin, who played with
a rock band in his teens, returned
to the band to play less demanding music. But it wasnt enough,
and McLaughlin incredibly taught
himself to play left-handed.
To reserve tickets, visit
www.crossingsatcarnegie.com,
call 507-732-7616 or stop in to
Crossings at 320 East Avenue in
Zumbrota.

Start clowning around at Crossings

ZUMBROTA For those who like a good laugh especially if they
inspire it Crossings offers a class on clowning. At Clown & Physical
Comedy Basics, kids and adults can learn all about clowns and how to
be one.
Among the secrets shared will be how to walk like a clown, how to
fall down and how to walk into walls (safely). Participants will learn
about different types of clowns and will go home with a clown face.
Basic juggling and physical comedy will be covered, and participants
will learn a clown routine they can perform.
Greg Chalmers of Giggle Givers in Rochester will teach the class,
which is Saturday, August 2, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Crossings.
To register, call 507-732-7616 or stop in to Crossings at 320 East
Ave.,
Zumbrota.
