Auro Mira Energy Company Private Limited (AME) is a young company started in !""#. $he Chennai
division has around !#" employees. $he raw materials (Agricultural %astes) are fed into specially
designed &ndustrial boilers where it is burnt to generate heat to the tune of '""( degree Celsius. $he
heat generated in the boiler in converted into steam and is used to drive the turbine which converts
the mechanical energy into electrical energy.

%hat were the key Business/Technological/ Cultural challenges faced by the
organization for implementing ERP?
$his is not a challenge as such. 4ut /ust to avoid apprehensions we have not implemented
GPerformance ManagementA module now itself. %e will wait to see how things are and implement it
ne<t year. 3therwise people are facing no technological:business challenges those days are gone.
How everyone understands the need for upgrading even if that means laying5off some people as
things will benefit in long run. 3nly for the first = years we will not be gaining much returns. %e
incurred some heavy e<penses on +ardware and Licensing. 4ut & 2now from the e<perience from my
past company that things will pay5off in long run.

$here is a lot of effort and time saved. $hings li2e Attendance monitoring Leave systems got
automated. %e now have G0elf 0erviceA portals for Employees and Managers for Competency
development Leave management Policy announcements and documentation etc.
