Emily Tull
Emily's work has been textile/hand stitched based for the past 5
years, with inspiration from curiosity cabinets and tomb
paintings. In recent years nature imagery has featured heavily,
but the main theme is portraiture which has also been included
in this year's RA Summer Exhibition.

Rose Robson
I subvert traditional taxidermy, creating swarm-like sculptures
from a range of different bird skins. As an anatomical
impossibility the work becomes something of a drawing in space,
mapping out the long cylinders created when birds circle and coil
in the sky, and channelling the dramatic impact of a swirling
swarm..

Caroline Robson
My paintings are a poetic response to the feeling of being in a
garden. Gardens evoke many responses for me; longing and
nostalgia, hope and optimism. These sensations are expressed in
my paintings, creating a subliminally evocative image. I am
interested in growth and decay, texture and pattern and the
visual delight of nature.

Patricia Bentley

Using landscape/seascape this body of work explores the
concept of other realms, unworldly places beyond this time and
space - even prehistoric. On further examination the viewer may
glimpse a world of a different time and space ... an introduction
to places we may otherwise not know... but inwardly suspect
they exist.

Brian Bushell
Alongside figure painting, Brian's work explores the beauty and
lyricism of the transience between life and death, and between
death and decay. Working in oils Brian presents a mesmerising
contemplation of the notion that life is never still even after it
has passed. Brian was born in Hackney London.

illustration using strong line and bold colour. His work focuses on
micro and macro views both iconic and unexpected, of hidden
architectural and industrial gems of his adopted home Ramsgate.

30 years in the hubbub of London. Living in this much loved

including calligraphy, typography, ceramics, photography and

Andy Johnson

Since moving to Thanet in 2010 I have devoted my art to linocuts,
the medium is one of constant surprise, from the first layer of ink
on the lino to the reveal of the image on the paper. Each print is
of a limited edition print run of fifty or a hundred. Every print is
unique due to pressure and amount of ink applied, to me a
wonderful change in a uniform digital age.

impressionist style. He works in Watercolour and Oils, painting

Martin Cheek
Martin Cheek is a versatile mosaic artist who initially founded the
technique to incorporate glass fusions into his mosaics. In so
doing, he essentially transformed the art and added unique
textural interest to his work. The intricately detailed glass
fusions, all made by Martin in his workshop, take his mosaics to
another dimension, adding varying degrees of reflectivity and
energy, something not easily obtained using traditional mosaic
materials.
