FAME ALL STARS UK

WELCOME TO FAME ALL STARS!!!!

WELCOME to FAME ALL STARS UK!!! Thank you for choosing to embark on this wonderful
cheer adventure with us!! We are now officially the UK extension of FAME ALL STARS in the
USA. We are excited that you want to be a part of our program and hope that you have a long
and rewarding relationship with the FAME family.

Over the last 11 years, our FAME family has established itself as one of the top All Star
Cheerleading programs in the USA. To date our teams have accumulated over 400 National
Titles, 100 State Titles, 50 Grand Champion Titles, 45 bids to the Cheerleading Worlds, along
with numerous other impressive specialty awards. By attending some of the most competitive
and prestigious tournaments in the World, our athletes and teams have made a name for our
program and have solidified FAME All Stars a successful and respected program that ranks
among the nations Elite.

Whilst we are grateful and excited about all of the success our program and athletes have
achieved above, what is most important to us is our mission of building self-confidence, self-
discipline, teambuilding, and everlasting friendship through cheerleading. We pride ourselves
on setting high standards for our coaches, athletes, and parents. We are dedicated and
committed to training our athletes to achieve their goals and to believe in themselves on and off
the cheerleading mat.

Another amazing thing you will find about FAME All Stars is our World Class Staff. We have the
most loyal, talented, credentialed, and experienced coaches in the UK who are dedicated to
seeing our athletes through to reach their fullest potential. FAME Coaches are more than just
cheerleading coaches. They are mentors and positive role models for our athletes, and take
pride in watching our athletes grow each day in life and in cheerleading.

Although FAME is a brand new team in the UK we would like everyone to know that we are a
FAMILY. Above all else, we pride ourselves on having a wholesome, positive and encouraging
environment where the cheerleaders LOVE to be! We strongly value sportsmanship, dedication,
integrity, caring and FUN.

When you come to FAME you will train like champions, be instructed by amazing coaches and
become part of the greatest up and coming program in the country. We are excited to welcome
you to the FAME Family!

ATHLETE RULES OF CONDUCT
No profanity or abusive language
If an extra-curricular activity regularly interferes with our mandatory practices or competitions, you will have
to choose which activity you will continue
All athletes will show good sportsmanship at all times
FACEBOOK, TWITTER & SOCIAL NETWORKING WEBSITES ARE TREATED AS IF SPOKEN IN PERSON TO YOUR
COACH AND YOU ARE THEREFORE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING SAID ON THESE. TRASH TALKING, BAD
MOUTHING, OR DISRESPECTING TEAMMATES, COACHES, OTHER PROGRAMS OR FAME WILL NOT BE
TOLERATED
You are required to pick up after yourselfdont leave empty drink/food containers lying around the gym. This
is your training facility so look after it!!!
Fame reserves the right to remove any cheerleader or parent temporarily or permanently from the program if
we feel any behaviour is unbecoming of a FAME athlete or Parent.
Athletes will be expected to wear FAME practice wear on the correct nights of practice
Athletes are expected to be in full uniform at awards ceremonies during competitions
Alcohol is prohibited to be consumed by any athlete prior to competing; you must not be intoxicated the day
of or day before competition. Alcohol is also not to be brought into any competition arena or any training
sessions.
If your child has conditions that require medication please ensure its is brought to all training sessions, camps
and competitions labelled with their name.

PARENT RULES OF CONDUCT
Good Sportsmanship is mandatory at all competitions, practices, and gym functions
Under no circumstance should you enter the practice area at training or any warm up area at any competition.
Do not try to yell or get your childs attention on the floor during training or any warm up area at any
competition.
Do not gossip about other children, coaching staff or other teams. If this becomes a problem it will result in
closed practices at anytime
Please feel free to speak to your coaches at anytime, just remember to do it at the appropriate time. Do not
interrupt practice or team meetings. Please ask to speak in private if the matter is sensitive or confidential.
If you threaten to quit or pull your child from the program, you may be dismissed from the program
immediately
It is your responsibility to know what is going on with your teamplease check email, newsletters and website
regularly.
Please do not punish your child with practices or competitions. At that time you are punishing the entire
team/program
Never speak or approach a competition official such as a judge
Please respect the decisions the coaching staff at FAME make. We have years of experience and will make the
best decisions for the entire team/program
Please be aware that FAME is privately owned and operated and should parents or cheerleaders engage in
behaviour that is unbecoming of a representative of FAME, we reserve the right to remove parents or
cheerleaders from the program temporarily or permanently.

Alcohol is not to be brought into any competition arena or training facility. Parents should not be intoxicated
around our younger athletes while either parent or athletes are representing FAME.

ATTENDANCE, LATENESS, AND ABSENCES

Practices are Mandatory. Athletes are only excused for illness and family emergency. Being an
athlete on a team at FAME is a commitment. Athletes are required to notify their team coach if they
are missing for any reason and receive their approval to miss practice.

Excessive lateness and absences are both harmful and disruptive to the team and very discouraging
for the coaches and the other athletes on the team. Every single person is vital to the success of the
team. If a cheerleader is constantly late or is missing practice unexcused, appropriate actions will be
taken with the best intentions of the team in mind. If an athlete misses practice the week of a
competition, the athlete will be replaced by another athlete so that the team can move forward. If
an athlete loses skills that were needed to make a certain team or a coach feels the athlete is not
contributing to a team they may be moved to another team that we see fit.

Summer Practices. We realise that families take vacations during the summer. Please communicate
these dates directly to your Coach. Summer practices are a great time to work on individual and
team skills. While every effort should be made to attend practices, all Practices become
MANDATORY After Choreography.

Inclement Weather Policy: Every reasonable attempt will be made to keep training running on
regular scheduled practice days. However in the event of severe weather conditions, if the gym is to
be closed we will do our best to notify all athletes and parents at the earliest time available.



PAYMENTS, FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS, POLICIES

Standing Order is the preferred method of payment and will save you 3.50 a month.
Payments are due on the 1
st
of each month, all payments made after the 15
th
will incur a 5 late
payment fee added to the account
You will receive a monthly statement. Please make sure to keep your email address updated and
current.
Fame accept cash and bank transfer- although these methods will still incur the 3.50 addition on
the monthly tuition fee.
Do not make a cash payment without getting a receipt
We are unable to accept cheques at this time.
If your account is in arrears you have until the end of that month to make arrangements to clear the
debt. If this is not done your child will be unable to participate until your account is brought up to
date
It is your responsibility to keep up with your account
2 weeks Christmas, 2 weeks Easter and May bank holidays are all factored into the costs and full
tuition fees still apply for these months.

COMPETITION FEES
To be advised, competitions entered will be decided once teams are made.

*you will be informed of the venue that your athlete will be training at once they have been offered
a place on a team. Venues are:
Trinity at Bowes- Palmerston Rd, Palmerston Green, London, N22 8RA
Aspire Leisure Centre- (Edmonton County Lower School) 325 Church Street, London, N9 9HY

REFUNDS

FAME require a 30 day written notice if your child will be leaving the program. This notice should be
emailed to info@fameallstars.co.uk
Please note your account will continue to be charged until written notice is received.
No refunds will be given for competition fees, choreography, tuition, or clothing for any reason at
any time.
If you quit the team prior to a competition you will NOT be refunded any competition fees. It takes a
lot of hard work on behalf of the coaches and the team members to get a routine ready for
competition. We will be registering for competitions early to receive the best rates. If your child
decides to quit, we must find a replacement and train them to be ready to compete. Therefore,
competition fees are not refundable even if your cheerleader leaves, prior to a competition.
If you have to miss a competition for some reason and we have to find a replacement, you will not
be refunded any fees either.

FAB (Fame All Star Boosters)

If you need help in these tough economical times to pay for your childs tuition and fees than FAB
might be the thing for you! The booster club is co-ordinated by parent volunteers but all members
are expected to get fully involved. It arranges fundraising events and all money raised goes directly
to its members once event costs have been taken out. Examples of events are bag packing and
sponsored events. Feel free to ask if you have any more questions about FAB!

If you know of a business that you believe will be willing to sponsor FAME all stars , please see page
10 for template letter for business sponsors.


PRIVATE LESSONS AND ADDITIONAL ITEMS

Privates are an excellent opportunity for FAME athletes to grow and excel their skills. Athletes will
be given the opportunity to do private sessions with a coach in the near future.

Please be sure you have read through the entire handbook. Please sign the handbook agreement
page signifying that you have read and agree to adhere to all FAME All Stars Policies and Procedures.

FAME All Stars UK is a brand new Cheerleading programme that would love your help!
This is the first ever UK cheerleading programme to be affiliated with one of Americas biggest and
most successful Cheerleading programmes. These athletes invest up to 15hrs a week collectively in
practice and work extremely hard to achieve their personal best. FAME All Stars UK will be working
towards building what could potentially be one of the biggest cheerleading programmes in the UK
while pushing to win regional and national championship titles.
FAME All Stars Booster Club are asking for your support to offset competition expenses for the 2014-
2015 competition season. In return we will provide your business with valuable advertising
opportunities. Your organisation will have exposure to all family members of our athletes as well to
the general public as we perform in shows and competitions all over the UK.
Ninety percent of the sponsorship money donated will benefit the team programmes expenses
including competition entry fees, attire and travel costs. Ten percent will go towards the booster
clubs general fund and additional expenses.
