First Eucharist: Approx 60 children, supported by their families, have begun
preparation for First Communion. We are invited to support these children through our
example and prayer. Next weekend is the Rite of Presentation for the children.

A Life of Prayer: Christ Church Warrnambool 1st & 2nd August: Keynote speaker
Sheila Upjohn reflects on the life and witness of Julian of Norwich. The program also
incorporates a day of workshops for participants to explore the many aspects of
prayer. Flyers available in Gathering Space.

The Gift of Grandparents
Grandparents are an invaluable & vital resource in our community. Many provide
children with stability and a sense of generational continuity. We honour them
especially this weekend on the Feast of Sts Anne & Joachim (26th June), the
parents of Mary and thus the grandparents of Jesus.

Integrity in the Service of the Church: A resource document has been produced by
the Australian Catholic Bishops and the Leaders of Religious Institutes in Australia
re to assist Church Workers reflect on and uphold Christian values in all relationships
and actions. The five basic principles for Church Workers are :
* Commitment to justice and equity
* Upholding the dignity of all people
* Commitment to safe and supportive relationships
* Reaching out to those who are poor, alienated or marginalised
* Striving for excellence in all their work
On Wednesday, 27th August at 7.00pm (Gathering Space) there will be an
opportunity for parishioners to become familiar with the principles outlined in the
document. It is hoped that staff & volunteers will take advantage of this opportunity.
The evening will be led by Mr Michael Gray and will take approx 45 minutes.

contains interesting and up-to-date articles about our Diocese and can be accessed via

Thanks-Giving Program: Thanks to the parishioners who support the work of the
