INTRODUCTION
The purpose of the study was to determine level of satisfaction of the 2005 students

reflection instrument.

A questionnaire was used in this study. The questionnaire was divided into three
sections namely:

1. Section A – Reflective terms

The student had to reflect on how important and how satisfied (s) he was with sufficient
provision. The following guidelines and probes were used by the student:

How well you coped with the workload?
How well you coped with the time constraints?
How well you coped emotionally with your studies during an assignment?
What you did to help yourself cope with your studies during an assignment?
What you still don’t understand about the learning content covered in an assignment?
What you are going to do to ensure you understand all relevant learning content?
How you progressed in your learning process from the previous weeks?
What new computer programmes and their uses you discovered?
Reflect extensively on your learning experience?
Utilise your reflective postings to adapt your future study methods?

2. Section B –Tools used for reflection

With the simplicity of the posting tool (w.bloggar) you used during this module?
Hosting service is reliable to use when uploading files to the internet?
With the reliability of the hosting service (Bravenet) you used during this module?

3 Section C – Facilitators in reflection practice

Results

1. Section A – Reflective terms

The graph shows that there is a high weighting and a high

score. This means therefore the students felt that sufficient provision
was important and was satisfied with the provision of reflective terms.

2. Section B –Tools used for reflection

The graph shows that there is a high weighting and a high

score. This means therefore the students felt that sufficient provision
was important and were satisfied with the provision of the tools used for
reflection.

3 Section C – Facilitators in reflection practice

The graph shows that there is a high weighting and a high

score. This means therefore the students felt that sufficient provision
was important and were satisfied with the provision of facilitators in
reflection practice.

Conclusion

The students who registered for computer based assessment in 2005

were highly satisfied with the use of weblogs as a reflection instrument.

Therefore the reflective terms, tools used for reflection and facilitators in
reflection practice should not be changed.
