Experience
2007 to 2008 - Weatherford Saudi Arabia Country Manager : briefed to
fast track growth to $300MM in four years through introduction of high end technologies in
Drilling, Evaluation, Completion, and Well Intervention Services, achievements in 12
months reporting to the Executive VP:
• Doubled revenues to $150MM: Direction Drilling, LWD/MWD, Expandable
Screens, Liner Hangers, Wire-Line, Cased Hole & intelligent Completions.
• $860MM 5 year contract (currently under evaluation) for Isolation Packers, Liner
Hangers and manufacturing of Reservoir ICD’s (In-flow Control Devices
Ctrl+Click here ) together with Wire Wrapped Screens.
• Set world record: longest expandable reservoir completion Ctrl+Click here
• Facilitated operations designed and first phase construction of 100,000 square
meter $40 MM operations facility to include manufacturing.
• Achieved FOP of 40% & nationalized expatriate workforce of 140 by 35%.

2005 to 2007 - Weatherford China - Country Manager : the remit, to


develop strategy to maximize Services & Sales portfolio and turn opportunities into
revenue. Major accomplishments reporting to VP:

• Increased revenues from $36MM to $87MM from 214 personnel as a result


of strategy implementation over two years from four key initiatives:

1. Forming two “Strategic Alliances” with Chinese Service companies (TETD


and COSL) for Directional Drilling, LWD/MWD, Fishing, Wireline/Slickline
logging, Rental Tools, Tubular Running, Handling and Inspection Services.
2. Set-up of Agent network and Chinese Sales force placed in six largest oil
fields generating sales from: Rotating Control Head’s, Drill Pipe, Power
Tongs & Units, Tubular make-up monitoring, Rig mechanization equipment,
Liner hangers, Jars, Shocks and Thrusters.
3. Performance drilling “bundled services” (Sinopec) reducing days per well by
40% via Top hole air drilling and Managed Pressure drilling across gas
reservoir, creating additional pull through of Directional Drilling, LWD
EMMWD, Rental tools, Fishing, Tubular Running Services, Inspection
services and completion equipment.
4. Development of a 20,000 square meter services facility in Tangu: to support
growth from Directional Drilling, LWD/MWD, Wire-line, Rental tools, Fishing,
Liner hangers and Tubular Running Services.

2000 to 2005 - Weatherford Oman Country Manager and JV Director:
the remit: introduce to Shell Under balanced Drilling and regain lost market in Rental Tools,

Tubular Running Services and Cementation Equipment. Maximized revenue from $3MM to
$43MM at 38% FOP per annum in four years. Assignment included six months Egypt and
Israel (Deep water Project Management) reporting to VP, key achievements:
1. Launched WFT first UBD pilot project in the Middle East and secured a 4 year
contract for $40MM.
2. Regained lost Market in Tubular Running Services, Introduced Through Tubing
Services, Rental Tools and ACP’s increasing revenues by $15MM per annum
3. Acquisition of KOPP Pipeline Services and managed JV increasing revenue by
$10MM per annum.
4. Market dominance in Cementation equipment $5 MM per annum.
5. Implemented 9002/2000 & 1401 ISO Quality standards along with British Safety
Council HSE systems and achieved Presidents Award, Six non-LTI awards from
the British Safety Council and $220k of incentive payments for performance over
four years from Shell gaining recognition as quality provider.

1996 to 1999 - Weatherford Country Manager Libya: task was to turnaround


a loss making operation providing Drilling and Completion services. Outcome; improved
performance of the region’s worst performer in 1996 creating the best ROI performer in
1998 45 % FOP on $15MM revenue via organizational restructuring, rationalizing
operations support facilities and recruiting/training low cost personnel from Tunisia and
Malta to provide for Libya’s Offshore Exploration and Production activity.

1995 to 1999 - Keyman International Cyprus Operations Manager:


Providing Human Resources to the oil and gas industry, briefed to establish a presence
within North Africa operating from Cyprus; key accomplishments: generated $7MM new
business with : Sirte, Agoco, Agip, Repsol, Fina and OMV. Set-up of recruitment agencies
and associated support facilities in: UK, France, Romania, Philippines, Thailand, Malta, and
Tunisia. Responsible for Engineers covering petroleum and process engineering
disciplines.

1994 to 1995 - Worldwide Petroleum Nigeria Operations Manager:


Responsible for continuation of sales and services support as an Agent producing in
excess of $80 MM per annum with major principles such as Baker Hughes Inteq and Drexel
re: Directional Drilling, MWD/LWD, Bits, and Solids Control Services.Responsibilities also
covered employment relations of 159 Nigerian staff on local payroll and negotiating with
extremely volatile Unions.

1989 to 1993 - Weatherford UK (Great Yarmouth) General Manager:


Responsible for the company’s Southern North Sea Operations providing Tubular Running
Services, Helium Testing, Rentals, Fishing Tools to 14 rigs. Successfully managed the
merger and total restructure after acquisition of Petco Oil tools and overall revenue of $57
MM. Implemented British Safety Council’s safety management system, and achieved the
highest accolade possible, awarded at the House of Lords with felicitations from Her
Majesty the Queen and John Major UK Prime Minister.

1986 to 1989 – Weatherford Syria Country Manager: Tasked with set-up of


Tubular Running Services, Rentals, Pipeline Make-up and Cementation sales and
operations, organisation, facilities, offices, Agents and company Commercial Registration,
developing client base in Damascus. Assignment completed in three years rendering a
revenue of $21million at 41% FOP.

1983 to 1986 - Weatherford Oman Country Manager: tasked with mirror


set up of sales and services operations as with the Syrian project. Completed Assignment
in three years producing revenues of $12MM at 37% FOP

1979 to 1983 - Weatherford Dubai Operations Coordinator (Relief):


Allied to field support duties re: Tubular Running, Helium Testing, Daily responsibilities
included operational planning and logistical movement of equipment and personnel to cover
associated activities in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Kuwait, Oman, Pakistan, Syria and
Jordan.
