Sponsorship of the Virginia Model United Nations Conference (VAMUN) offers exposure to around

1,000 high-achieving high school students from across the United States, and more than 100 global-
ly-minded UVA students who together comprise the Virginia International Relations Organization (IRO).
The conference this year will be held on November 7 to 9.
VAMUN XXXIV
VAMUN aims to bring debate of topics discussed in the public and diplomatic forums to high school
students, and by supporting the conference your organization can serve as an impetus for the discus-
sion of defense, energy security, international law, resource access, human rights, and other global issues.
We seek to better our conference by reaching out to and partnering with professional organizations so as to improve VAMUN
logistically, financially, and socially with the hopes of extending and expanding the programs for the students. We also hope
to offer a wider array of scholarships for delegates who are not financially able to attend the conference by their own means.
