TheMWC.com - The announced attendance
of the 2013 Mountain West Championships
presented by Reeses was 79,958. By comparison,
the largest total attendance for the event when
it was in Denver was about 37,000. The vast
difference in crowd size highlights precisely
why Las Vegas is the perfect place for the
annual conference championship. The host
hotels for 2014 are the Hard Rock, South Point
and The Mirage. Alumni events, kids days and
other special events will take place around the
tournament. CBS and CBS Sports Network will
provide television coverage.

MGM GRAND GARDEN ARENA
Pac-12.com - In 2013, more than 63,000 fans of
UCLA, USC, Oregon, Arizona State and other
Pac-12 schools descended on Las Vegas for the
first playing of the Pac 12 basketball tournament
in the city. "This is an exciting opportunity
for us to create a new, dynamic atmosphere for
our schools, our student athletes and our fans,"
Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott said prior to
the tournament. "Las Vegas is one of the most
exciting destinations in the country. The event
was a success at every level and is slated to be in
Las Vegas for the foreseeable future. The host
hotels are MGM Grand, Treasure Island and the
Tropicana with alumni and other special events
planned. ESPN and the Pac-12 Network will
provide television coverage.
WESTERN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE
MARCH 12-15

WacSports.com - Officials with the Western
Athletic Conference love holding events in Las
Vegas so much that they also hold the annual
tournaments for basketball and mens golf
in the city. The golf event takes place at the
prestigious Rio Secco Golf Club May 2-4. The
basketball event is taking place in Las Vegas for
the fourth consecutive year. New Mexico State
and Idaho are the mens and womens defending
champions, respectively. The Orleans is a host
hotel and special events are planned. ESPNU
will provide television coverage.
WEST COAST CONFERENCE
MARCH 6-11
THE ORLEANS ARENA
WCCSports.com - Gonzaga is a top brand in
college basketball and annually ranked in the
Top 25. Their exciting brand of basketball
highlights the annual West Coast Conference
Championships and the Zags won both the
womens and mens titles in 2013. The host hotel
is The Orleans and the special WCC Hall of
Honor ceremony occurs during the week. ESPN
will televise the event.
