DISCOVER DELICIOUS MEXICAN-INSPIRED RESTAURANTS IN
DOWNTOWN LAS VEGAS

In the mood to spice up your palate? Its no surprise that Mexican fare is
well-represented amid downtown Las Vegas burgeoning dining scene. If
youre craving the goodness of guacamole and salsa-laden dishes, here are
three great eateries to check out.
CASA DON JUAN
Family-owned Casa Don Juan, located at 1204
S. Main St., is a staple in downtown Las Vegas.
Shortly afer being seated, you will be served
freshly made salsa and a basket of tortilla chips
prepared from cholesterol-free vegetable oil.
Although pork carnitas are the specialty of the
house, guests will also be tempted by the sizzling
fajitas and assorted burritos, tacos and tostadas.
You can wash everything down with one of the
lime, strawberry or mango margaritas. Plus,
theres a wonderful selection of domestic and
Mexican beers.
LA COMIDA
At 100 Sixth St. in the Fremont East
Entertainment District, youll fnd a menu
featuring cooking styles from various regions
of Mexico. Created by the Morton Group, La
Comida has a funky vibejust look for the
fashing pink neon sign of a monkey skeleton
on the roof. Inside youll enjoy delights with an
emphasis on chicken, pork and seafood (like
the Enchilada de Camaron and Camaron del
Golfo, both made with shrimp). Be sure to try the
Huarache, a blend of refried beans, oven-roasted
poblano peppers and homemade salsa, with one of
the fresh fruit margaritas served in mason jars
ay, caramba!
MUNDO
With its elegant dcor and palate-exciting dishes,
Mundo ofers a fne dining experience in an
upscale Mexican restaurant. Chef Robert Solano
has fused the tastes of old world Mexico with
modern favors. Described as Latin chic, the
cuisine consists of unique renditions of south-
of-the-border favorites. Highlights include the
Ahi Tuna Tostado, the Garden Quesadilla, the
Filet Mignon Chile Relleno and the Shrimp
Tamale. Mundo is located at 495 S. Grand Central
Parkway, A-116, in the Las Vegas Design Center at
the World Market Center.
