These were some of the most popular pop and dance songs of the 90s. I came of ag
e during this decade and have managed to have fond memories of a time when life
was better.
Song 1, as many know contains a sample of the late and great Rick James song Sup
er Freak. Song 4 contains a sample of Jack and Diane by John Mellencamp. Song 17
contains a sample of the late and great Donna Summer song Macarthur Park. Song
25 contains a sample of the Patrice Rushen song Forget Me Nots.
In the final song I compiled some images of the people and places that were the
most culturally relevant in the mainstream. Some of these people were more relev
ant to me than others, but aimed to compile an all inclusive list. The guy with
the spiky hair in the last song is Jesse Camp, a short lived VJ on MTV. Yes, tha
t was my high school graduating picture at the very end; and I did attend Interl
ake High School, home of the Saints.
