Every day our energy fields are being interfered with by people, events, and even our own
thoughts. Negative energy can attach to us and block our flow, which can bring us down,
cause irritation and drain our vitality. Its important to keep ourselves in check to make sure
we are not being too affected by this. Eating well, exercising, spending time in nature and
meditating are all good ways to restore our energy flow and stay balanced, but sometimes
we need a little extra help.
This cleansing ritual can be performed at any time when youre feeling low, tired or
otherwise affected by negativity.

%hat you need&
'ir& !age incense
(ire& ' silver)grey candle
Earth& !ea salt
%ater& *halice filled with water
+raw your circle, then light the incense and the candle.
,editate for a few minutes while the sage fills the room.
Each time you breathe out, relax a little more. The more
relaxed you are, the better your energies flow, and the easier it is to release any unwanted
negativity.
%hen you feel calm and ready you may begin.
!tep -& Element cleanse
.old your hands over the incense and say, /with air I cleanse myself.0 1et the smoke twirl
around your fingers for a few moments. (eel the cleansing properties of sage immerse you.
Then hold your hands above the candle at a safe distance$ and say, /with fire I cleanse
myself.0 2isualise the flame burning away anything unwanted within you.
Now take the sea salt and crumble it between your fingers, gently rubbing it on your hands,
and say, /with earth I cleanse myself.0
Then dip your hands in the water, again gently rubbing your hands, and say /with water I
cleanse myself.0
!it in silence for a moment while you let the elements do their work.
!tep "& 3eleasing negativity
The most effective way of releasing negative entities and energies unless they are unusually
powerful$ is to firmly ask them to leave.
4o inside yourself, become completely aware of your body, and say the following&
'ny energy that no longer serves me, please leave now.
Thank you for your presence. Now I am sending you home.0
!ay it with conviction, like a firm but loving parent. 5eep repeating it, and pay attention to
any feelings in your body. 's you say these words, negativity will shed from you like the skin
off a snake. If youre sensitive you may be able to feel a pulling sensation or a feeling of
suddenly becoming lighter.
3epeat until you feel intuitively done this can be -6 times or 76 times, anything that feels
right for you.$
!tep #& (illing with light
This step is vital& after releasing the negative energies you will have holes in your aura which
must be filled with light. 8therwise other negative energy will easily latch on to you and
youll have to start the process again.
2isualise your crown the top of your head$ opening up, like a funnel going from the heavens
into your body. 2isualise pulling down divine light that will fill every gap in your aura as you
repeat the words&
I ask that my energy body is filled with pure healing light.0
3epeat a few times, then thank the spirits and elements, and close your circle.
+uring the rest of the day)evening, whenever it comes to mind, visualise your open crown
and the light flowing into you.

Space !leansing Ritual
(or this ritual to cleanse your magick space, you will need&
' broom
' silver candle
' white candle
' chalice with charged water
' small bowl of earth
9 element candles red, blue, brown, yellow$
Incense sage$
Spell #2
!pace *leansing 3itual
-. 4ather all the items and place on the altar, cover with a black cloth until you are ready to
use them.
". *hoose the date and time for the ritual to be performed. :se an astrological calendar or
pick the date of the next New ,oon.$
#. *lean the area that is to be cleansed thoroughly. %ash all walls, floors etc.$
9. Take a shower or bath with scented oils, envision all debris being washed from your body
and allow a feeling of complete clean to come over you.
7. 8nce you are ready to begin, place the element candles in position in the appropriate
compass points. East yellow, !outh red, %est blue, North brown.$ Then place the silver
candle on the altar.
;. !tand before your altar, breathe deeply and light the white candle.
<. *ircle the room in a clockwise direction lighting the element candles.
=. >ick up your broom and sweep the circle as you walk inside clockwise and say&

?y powers of 'ir, I cleanse this space
*lose your eyes and feel the element of air move within the circle. 3eturn to the altar, pick
up the silver candle. :se your white candle to light it, then walk around the circle clockwise
and say&
1ight, light I light this space
?y the powers of (ire, I cleanse this space
*oncentrate on fire energy flowing around the circle. 3eturn to the altar and pick up the
chalice of holy water. 's you walk clockwise round the circle, sprinkle the water with the
fingers of your right hand and say&
1i@uid, li@uid I wash this place
?y powers of %ater I cleanse this space
(eel the element of water flow in a clockwise direction around the circle. 3eturn to the altar
and pick up the bowl of earth. %alk clockwise around the circle, sprinkle the earth and say&
+irt, dirt as I walk this place
?y powers of earth I cleanse this space
(eel the element of earth bringing gifts to the circle. 3eturn the bowl of earth to the altar
and move to the centre of the circle. In the 4oddess position say&
I now direct the energy of the :niverse to forever fill and bless this place.
(eel the energy from your body meld with that of the universe. %hen the energy begins to
dissipate, turn back to the altar lay your hands upon it and say&
This altar is dedicated to the 1ord and 1ady of 1ight. ,ay it serve me well.
If you will not be cleansing any tools you will end the ritual here by thanking the 4od and
4oddess and the elements for their participation in the ritual. Then ground the energy that
you have raised by putting your palms to the floor and feeling the sensation being drained
to Earth ,other. Then raise your right hand over your head in a counterAclockwise motion,
circle it around the room and say&
