true in current defense condition of india.4ello guys,i am bac0 with another post.This time,my
motto is to ma0e you guys 0now about current condition of Indian -efense ystem.5ust about 6
years ago,the 7ir 8orce chief 1at that time3 said that we are one third of chinese air force,but if we
are given tas0 to fight them we will give our best.That statement was enough to tell the current
situation of indian air force.9hen i started my blog * days ago,I thought about a blog focussing on
india&s defence system,so I started my analysis about india&s weapons compared to china,the biggest
and powerful threat of india in it&s neighbours.I found very bad progress in weapons import and
e!port of weapons.India sells only small weapons li0e guns to small countries.o,it seems that
government is not putting their effort to earn revenue from defence sectors.India is currently biggest
weapons buyer having shared ':; of whole world&s import.India depends on imports for meeting
more than <# per cent of its weapons re/uirement every year.7lso,Indian government has failed in
negotiating big deals li0e in "admiral gorsh0ov"1a soviet aircraft carrier3 purchasing,india had
ordered it for '.) billion dollars in 6$$:,but in december 6$$+,russia wanted e!tra ' billion dollar
due to inflation,russia was to give it in 6$$).=ut it failed to deliver.India could have puchased it in 6
billion dollars as it was russian&s fault,but india purchased it at 6.: billion dollar.7ccording to

could have forced russians to deliver it in 6$$).7nyway india did not negotiate much,that&s the
point.,overnment has started good plans for domestic weapons,there is still much to wor0.The new
problem that is arising in this system,is corruption in negotiation of these defence deals, which is
interferring good companies to get the tender of order of weapons.7 pretty much number of orders
that india has given,has not gotten delivered.There are also some of the pro?ects which are
announced to be purchased,due to wea0 dealing capability and wea0 negotiation of money for
india,these pro?ects are simply roaming around the papers 1archive section3 of defence ministry.
It is not that india is loosing in every section of weapons,it is doing e!ceptionally well in
missiles compared to other weapons.>ost of missiles in india are either domestic or
collabrative1li0e bramhos,with russia3.7gni missiles which are domestic ones,are doing ?ob as
e!cellent weapons.7gni @ has become india&s first intercontinental ballistic missile 1I%=>3
,ma0ing india one of very few nations in this elite category.It can target anywhere in china. India is

The new Indian government which is in ma?ority has made >r.7run 5aitley,minister of finance
and minister of defence.This shows our government&s irresponsibility towards defence ministry.

4ere i conclude this blog by saying that "Aes,there is progress in india&s defence system but
introductions of new things 1corruption,big money laundering1trapping former airforce chief3 and
huge imports of weapons have still symbolized india as a country of less weapon investment and a
wea0 country in condition of wars. hope government would become strict on these things and will
ma0e india ultramodernized weapons country.
