ith obeisance to Late Shri C.S.Patel who was the first to
expound on the technique of Pushkar Navamsa in the last
century, we start with this experiment. There are many
techniques which show the snap shot of ones life or Essence Of Ones Life, at
times what A would consider as the Essence of Cs life, would not be the
same as what B considers it. At the same time normally any great human
being would have minimum 3-4 areas of life or events which would later on
form the Essence of his life as viewed by outsiders and it might not be
similarly viewed by what he considers it. In this experiment we would use
Pushkar

Navamsa signs on Ones Ascendant Sign and try to find out the
Essence of Ones Life. With this article we fulfill a soft promise given to one
SJC Guru from Africa few years ago when she had requested us to teach in
her forum something new on usage of Pushkar Navamsa due to our close
proximity to Patel Saheb. As every word given by a jyotish must be fulfilled
though it is practically not possible but the spirit must be there to fulfill every
word this article is dedicated to her in love of humanity. The following article
provides a brief hint to the young astrologer as to the areas of life which will
dominate out and to a clear cut tool to the real astute astrologer.

The Essence Of Life Technique
Step 1: Note the sign of the Ascendant in any chart, take the sign and note its
Pushkar Navamsas, this would be 2 in number.
Step 2: These two signs which are the Pushkar Navamsas of the Asc, super
impose it on the Rasi Chart.
Step 3: These two houses will be called Pushkar Houses akin to A Blue (rare)
Lotus that blooms in mud.
Step 4: Pushkar House Lords if form strong Yogas

coupled with right dasas
form in giving this Essence of Life out as a glowing Lotus.
Step 5: These two signs & the houses it is placed in the Rasi chart will
dominate ones life and/ or
Step 6: The lords of the two signs where the sits, with whom they conjoin or
get aspected will spring out the Essence Of Ones Life.
Initial Conclusion:
1. These Pushkar houses would be where maximum mud would be slung to you and
where you can finally emerge out as a Beautiful Lotus, this would be the Essence
that you take out of your Life.
2. Yogas need to activate at the same time when respective dasas of yoga concerned
planets are simultaneously active, this is rare and those who get it are the
destined ones.
3. Timing of when a particular yoga will get activated is hugely debated and so far
none have is a virgin area for study, dasas activating yogas is an old view and
works in practice but not 100 %. Years back when this question was posed by us
as to how to find out when yogas will become active, some paramparas came out
with a technique which can be marked as theories until it is properly statistically
investigated by unbiased scholars.
4. Further areas to be unearthed are Yoga Bhangas of which classics are silent in
most cases. These Yoga Bhangas (destruction of promised results of
combinations/yogas) are of minimum three types natal and of transit and dasas.

E.g. a good yoga like Gajakeshari Yoga is to be active strongly at the age of 27,

story is known to them and then practice this over 25 charts of commoners who
are 70 years old.
6. Are vedhas or bad transits blocking the results when the yogas of Pushkar
houses lords are active in dasas is something to be methodically researched.
7. Observe if at times Pushkar Houses or its Lord is indicating Profession of the
native, if so then it can be the easiest tool till date to give a clue on determining
profession.

Chart 1: Swami Vivekananda

There has been some recent controversy on his time of birth. Right now lets
follow what others follow. Rodden gives AA as ratings with notes as Modern
Astrology 11/1908, data from F.C. Dutt (great astrologer of earlier times) in
Calcutta who quotes B.R. (PC gives 6:45 AM as "recorded.")

Sagittarius Asc means Libra and Sagi are the Pushkar signs, in Sagi sits Sun
the 9L of religion and dharma and higher knowledge, this was the Essence of
his Life. In another Pushkar sign of Libra, sits a Pushkara House Lord Jupiter
which also signifies Gyan for which he became known. Pushkar House lord
Venus goes in the 2

house of speech (remember his Parliament of World
Religions address) and 2

Parliament of World's Religions
The Parliament of Religions opened on 11 September 1893 at the Art Institute
of Chicago. On this day Vivekananda gave his first brief address. He

to his disciples, Brahmarandhra the aperture in the crown of the
head must have been pierced when he
attained Mahasamadhi. The crown chakra is described as a
1000 petaled lotus. You will note that both Jupiter and
Venus are his Pushkar House Lords which is called the
Lotus Blooming, if you go by the concept of Mahasamadhi; Shri
Vivekanandas lotus had bloomed completely on that day when he was
running Jup/Ven dasa.

The Asc rising is Aq, the Pushkar Navs of Aq would be Ta & Pisces, note the
houses it occupies in the natal chart which is the 2H of speech & 4H of Vidya
(education), note the planets sitting in it, the aspects on these houses and the
lords of these two houses. These Pushkar houses i.e. 2H & 4H would be where
maximum mud would be slung and where you can finally emerge out as a
Lotus, this would be the Essence of your Life. As to the 2H of family, money
and 4H of Education, the mud that was and is still slung on to Dr Raman, is
to be ignored by us and let us see how the Lotus blossomed. The 2H is the
house of speech where the karaka for Rare Astrology Rahu sits, he made
stunning predictions that was noticed by the world and which gave him
prominence as its lord Jupiter (Pushkar House Lord) sits in the 10H of
achievements apart from being the 11

lord of Jyotish. It sits in the sign of Sc is
an additional benefit of bringing out rare astro knowledge.
The next Pushkar House is the 4H of education where exalted Moon and 12L of
previous lifes work Saturn is sitting, he removed a magazine that broke the
slavery of Parampara and gave that Vidya (4H) to the masses (Saturn Moon).
The lord of this Pushkar House Venus sits in the 7H of prominence. The
yogas formed by the lords of Pushkar Houses are of most significance, one
lord Jupiter forms the Gajakeshari Yoga, Saraswati and Kahala yoga and
Venus being a natural yogakaraka for Aq Asc is also involved in several
rajayogas apart from Dharma Karmadhitpati Yoga. As per the article of Shri
Ashok Upadhaya, for Airy Ascs Pushkar Navamsas give the result of
Vipareet Raja Yogas, incidentally it is doubly fortified here that Moon &

lord) form a VRY in the Pushkar House. People attribute
the success of Dr Raman to his Gajakeshari Yoga, Saraswati Yoga &
Vipareeta Raja Yoga, you can notice that all of this is being formed via
Pushkar House Lords whereas in other charts such yogas are hardly giving desired
results. Thus you can see the Essence of his Life played out via the Pushkar
Houses & Pushkar House Lords.

Obama is Cp Asc, so Ta & Pi becomes his Pushkar Houses and in the Rasi

writing, his books became super hit and influenced Americans, the Pushkar
House Lord is Jupiter debilitated but its debilitation is being cancelled by
Saturn who is forming a Sasa Mahapurusha Yoga. Everyone attributed his
rise to this Sasa Mahapurusha Yoga but you see it is very closely conjunct by
Jupiter who is the Pushkar House Lord. The next Pushkar house is Taurus
which is the 5H of power and Rajyaabhishek, over there sits an exalted Moon
but with Mandi Gulika which means it wont come without a fight. Note the

He was running Jup MD, Moon AD and Venus PD when he fought a
competition (Venus in 6H), sat on seat of power (highest office) and became
famous (Jupiter in lagna) and thus became the President of Unites States or
actually Lord of the Earth. All 3 have relation with Pushkar Houses and all 3
are also involved in several yogas like Sasa Mahapurusha Yoga, VRY &
Mountain Yoga (Parvata yoga)

Note the dasas and antardasas of Pushkar House Planets & Lords, they can give
the opportunity to become a Lotus from the mud, you will note that a lot of mud was
thrown on Obama regarding his nationality and other things during his Moon AD
(Pushkar House Occupant) and Jupiter MD (Pushkar House Lord). Also observe the
position of these Pushkar Houses & their Lords from the Dasa Sign.

Chart 4: Mahatma Gandhi

When you think of Mahatma Gandhi what was the Essence of his life you
can come to the conclusion non violent fight (6H) , leadership (1H), public
figure (7H) transformation (8H) into his life from Gandhi to Mahatma and
struggle for sex control (8H) . Summarizing it you get 6H, 8H which are his
Pushkar Houses and 1H, 7H where his Pushkar House Lords are placed
forming. The two Pushkar House for Libra Asc becomes Taurus and Pisces
which are the 6H and 8H and as per Ashok Upadhaya Vipareet Raja Yoga
becomes very important for Airy Asc (in our view as per our learning from
him it is more important for Libra Ascs) and this is more the case with
Mahatma where you can see VRY playing full, which means someones
downfall and your success, which means the down fall of the British Empire
and rise of the Gandhi to become the Lotus called Mahatma. The Pushkar
House Lords Jupiter and Venus both are involved in several yogas (thereby
really giving power those yogas) like Malavya Mahapurusha Yoga (Great
man yoga loosely translated), Parvata Yoga, Gajakeshari Yoga, VRY, Guru
Mangala Yoga, Kalpadruma/ Parijata Yoga.

His Jupiter Mahadasa ran during 1939 to 1955, Jupiter is the 6H of
fighting/disputes and placed in the 7H of public platform, it was during this
period he grew more and more stronger as an undisputed public figure even in
the west and he won the freedom for India in 1947, Jupiter as you would see is
his Pushkar House Lord.
During the Venus Antardasa of this Jupiter MD, he was assassinated (mud
slung on him) which created a huge uproar in India and the west as it was no
ordinary leader, as a leader like him was never before born who in turn had
inspired leaders around the world to create social movements. You would
notice that Venus is the Pushkar House Lord of the 8H of death. One should
observe in many charts the MD and subsequent AD in that MD of both
Pushkara House Lords and do further research on it. Observe the same
technique of Pushkara House Lords in the yogas of Shri K N Rao like
Gajakeshari Yoga, Malavaya, Hamsa, Parvata yogas etc and past and
immediate coming Pushkara House Lords dasas.
Often you would find that many yogas in the chart if linked to Pushkara
House Lords give fabulous strength to these yogas.



Chart 5: Indira Gandhi

For Indira Gandhis Cn Asc, the Pushkara Signs are Cn and Vi, one her Asc
itself and other 3H of communications, Vi is the sign of 6

House of enemies
and fights in the natural chart and she was well known to crush brutally her
opponents. Anyways quickly see the Pushkara Lords Moon and Mer, one sits
in the 7H of public platform and other sits in the 5H of power
(Rajyaabhishek) which is what the Essence of Her Life was. Note that both
these houses are signifying children and married life and at both these places
confirming to the Pushkar House Lord results mud was thrown at her
a) due to her married life and relations b) due to her son Sanjay Gandhis
supposedly notorious lifestyle.
She became P.M for the first time on 24

Jan 1966 (took office) when her Jup
MD (Jupiter aspects her Pushkar House lord Mer) and Sun AD (Sun is
conjunct Mer her Pushkar House Lord who is also involved in the VRY), this
ensured a 11 year run (something not seen these days in Indian Politics or
World Politics). Due to lack of space not mentioning the various yogas
formed, but note that Mercury is involved in Vipareeta Raja Yoga happening
in the 5H with Sun and Jupiter and Mercury is a Pushkara House Lord
making it doubly powerful and after the death of Morarji Desai, thus keeping
with the true spirit of VRY (Vipareeta Raja Yoga).

was running Saturn/Ven/Saturn, you can see that Saturn sits in the Pushkar
House of Cancer aspected by its own lord Moon. In her whole dasa of Saturn
which started from 1970, the Iron Lady was formed and became a world
leader.
Before publishing an article Saptarishi team members/volunteers share

Chart 6: Canadian Core Team Member


For an Indian to study astrology in India he still has to go through a lot of
social stigma and most face problems in marriage as spouse do not agree to the
science, imagine how much it would be tough for a Westerner who has to
fight the religious dogma there in the West against astrology. Note the Asc is
Aries, the time of birth is a bit uncertain but still it remains Aries only. Now
use the Mud & Lotus Technique, for Aries the Pushkar houses would be Libra
and Sagittarius, in her case it would be 7H of marriage and 9H of children,
higher knowledge like Astrology. Now note the 7H Pushkar House Lord goes
in the 9H of higher knowledge and marriage and also the other Pushkar
House Lord Jupiter goes in the 1
st
house of self and it is also the house of
marriage of the Spouse. Jupiter signifying Higher Knowledge is combined
with Saturn who is 11

lord of Astrology and Saturn also signifies ancient
things and Astrology is an ancient higher knowledge sitting in the house of
marriage of spouse (1H). Thus mud would be slung in that house and she
wrote my mother never accept my love for astrology.....my constant fight, my
children, my 1st husband that give me a choise, astrology or him, and of course i choose
astrology with all the problems later with children and special money problems for a
divorced woman... i pay until now a very very high price for Astrology. The rest is
self explanatory like 9H of Sagi signifying higher knowledge which is the
Pushkar House is 6

house placement of Moon (mother). Her mother does not appreciate daughter
doing astrology. 1965 onwards her Jupiter dasa started, she was absorbed in
astrology full dasa and Jupiter is Pushkar House Lord, this Jupiter is involved
in Dharma Karmadhipati Yoga (caused when 9L and 10L combine) in powerful
Kendra Trine House (1H is both). So doing astrology became her Dharma
(righteous action) and also Karma, so she made such a big decision of letting
go of her husband and not astrology since astrology is her Dharma and
Karma. She was the one who successfully predicted Obamas victory months
in advance before even Hilary was not out of the race, this prediction was
done in an international magazine. The common Buddha Aditya Yoga (Sun
Mer combo) is found in her chart and is found in many hundreds of chart but
this lady is extremely intelligent and hard working, you give her one
technique, she would spend the full night and next day she has already super-
improvised that technique, so why is this Buddha Aditya Yoga so powerful in
her chart since it sits in a Pushkar House of Higher Knowledge Sagi. You give
her an article or Saptarishis Astrology magazine, she removes full print out
and takes it in her car, wherever she goes she reads, re-reads and reads, if she
is waiting at the doctors she is reading the magazine, and the best part is
inspite of so many successful predictions which we have privately observed
over the past 5 years she just does not exhibit an iota of ego, such kind of
dedication and egoless state is possible only when benevolence of Gods is
there and Gods is 9H which is her Pushkar House.
Chart 7: South Writer of Saptarishis Astrology

Observe Asc as Libra, so Ta and Pisces will be the Pushkar Houses, note it is
in the 6
th
and 8
th
houses. One of them contains Rahu the graha of Rare
Astrology and research, he spent so far only 5-7 years in astrology yet teaches
in ICAS (Dr Ramans Institute) and has produced some of the finest
researches in astrology which have been published in Saptarishis Astrology
and SA had the honor of introducing him as an author. This is the power of
not just his Rahu but of Rahu sitting in his Pushkar House. Now note the
Pushkar House Lords Venus and Jupiter are both conjoined in the 11H of
Astrology, so something spectacular should happen when his Jupiter dasa
starts, he wrote this my Jupiter dasha started somewhere during 2005. i started
teaching astrology some time during the mid of 2006. i received lots of encouragement
from the students as they liked my lectures. During the process i could refine my
knowledge in astrology. Which may be the result of the conjunction of the lords of 6, 8,
12 in my chart in 11th house.

by the Pushkar House Lords and see the greatness of it.
Chart 8: A Core Team Member

For Cancer Asc the Pushkar signs are Cancer and Virgo, in Cancer the 9L of
Dharma and Higher Knowledge sits and he is Jupiter doubly fortifying it and
now twice since it is a Pushkar House, the native is a sanskrit scholar,
astrologer and his father was a great astrologer, the native is very dharmic and
is into higher forms of mantra shastra and has performed free Yagyas for
people worldwide, this is the essence of his life as astrology and occult
sciences both dominate his life. His other Pushkar sign of Virgo contains
exalted Mercury (accounts) with Rahu (going deeper) and is with 2
nd
lord of
ones profession who is Sun, so lets combine Mer, Rahu & Sun, the native
works in the Income Tax Dept and he is in accounts (Mer), unearthing things
(rahu) in a Govt job (Sun). That sums up the essence of his life Jyotish,
Higher Knowledge & Accounts.

Chart 9: Another Volunteer

Note Gemini Asc, so Ta and Pisces are the two Pushkar houses, Ta is
sitting in the 12H of charity containing the 9L of higher knowledge Saturn
who is also the 8L of occult, so this charity of knowledge must happen in the
form of Jyotish since Jupiter also aspects it by being placed as Pushkar House
Lord in the 8H of Gupta Shastra. Now who is Jupiter it is the lord of Pisces
(Karma being 10H), so this native contributed in giving in charity some
higher Jyotish knowledge. See the Pushkar House Lords, it is Venus sitting in
the 12H of spirituality and sex and Jupiter sitting in the 8H of occult,
spirituality and Jyotish studies dominate his life, charity of knowledge is the
Essence of his life, bringing rare knowledge out is his mission. Now see the
yogas, there is a Rajayoga in Venus Saturn, then RajaSambhandha in Jupiter
Saturn, Vipareeta RajaYoga with Venus Saturn, Venus in a Malavya Yoga
from Moon, all these mentioned planets are associated with Pushkar Houses
and Pushkar House Lords, thus doubly fortifying the yogas. So during Venus
or Jupiter dasas or antars these results will come out. Now Venus MD went
in childhood and Jupiter MD will be in his mid 50s by that time he wont be
alive probably. Now during Venus AD in

He did some major charity work with Jyotish and especially of Bhrighu
Astrology (note Venus in Malavya Yoga) and this Venus being involved in a
VRY, a major Jyotish Publication was closed down and this native out of no
choice of his own donated some Bhrighu manuscripts and Bhrighu articles to
the jyotish world. All this you can see what the Pushkar Venus has done,
other VRYs come and go but a Pushkar VRY we should not ignore though it
is tough to predict in one sec which particular Venus AD will give the
promise of the chart but probably experienced astrologers would be able to.
For example what was not mentioned is that Mars aspects this Venus Saturn
combo and during Transit Saturn the biggest planet in that combo was
aspecting both Saturn and Venus and Mars together. Saturn is called Kaala
(Time) and he triggers some say which probably he did right around the age
of 36 his natural age. Tr Jupiter was back in his natal position further
activating the Yoga & thats when the Bhrigu knowledge hidden for centuries
was revealed. We asked him the stupid question if he practices any mantras
he said no, only once he prayed in English to the Sages.

When natal yoga planets activate the yoga in transit and dasa of their respective
planets runs thats when Destiny Strikes It Hardest.
You see the above transits, age of planets and then see if a Pushkar House Lords
dasa/antar dasa is about to start and you predict bang on, remember it is not an easy
task to combine all parameters without getting lost.

The reason this line is written since many in the West are sold mantras & now in India
they are indirectly sold to gather sishyas (students) & thus indirectly attend courses.
Mantras do not guarantee revealing knowledge or success in predictions, clean heart to
help others is the only mantra. God or Sages understands all languages and not only
Sanskrit, the most Universal Language is feelings it generates vibrations more powerful
than anything.

On phone the volunteer was trying to understand how this technique works,
so he just mentioned the Asc of his brother, we said what are in Cn & Vi his
Pushkar Houses and where are its lords. Note that his Moon the 9L of Bhagya
(prosperity) and Pushkar House Lord goes in the 6H of health issues, we
asked him if his brother has an health issue or does he deal with health, he
replied that his brother has put up a medical shop (chemist) in his native place
and is now making Rs 50,000 per month which is a big amount of money. One
may note that subconsciously we knew that his brother was into something to
do with health since the volunteer has surely mentioned it in the last few
years and this is not a prediction). What is to be noted is that Pushkar House
Lord has given way to a profession as otherwise 9L in the 6H is termed a not
so great combination. His note afterwards via email is

applicable cases to demonstrate the efficacy of the technique but practical
applicability is lost due to the difference of young vs experienced astrologers
and also at the same time even an experienced astrologer is always biased in
his own chart especially if he has not written that article he rarely likes the

I follow your idea, I did for important moments in my life, i take a look the transit in the
Pushkar Houses and lords

i send you here only one that impress me, the day my son was born.( my 4th kid) the
doctor prognostics were very bad, they told me after the birth "he is not going to
survive". He was born with heart problems, jaundice, was premature and other little
things. He passed this cap, and today has 31 years old in very good health

I always ask myself how was possible that he survive. here i tell you here what i find.

my Pushkar houses are Libra and Sagg., the rulers Venus in sagg and Jupt, JU with Sat in
Aries -

transit for the Oct 7 1978 at 8.pm in Geneva Switzerland

Sun in Virgo where is my natal Ra, in the 12H of Libra.
Moon in Sagg, Ra in Virgo VE in Libra, Ma in Libra, JU in Cancer 11* and Sa in Leo.

Then Venus ruler of Libra in Libra, and Jupiter exalted in Cancer. Was not possible
something going wrong here, is a very positive transit.

Neela means Blue, then out of Lord Vishnus navel cord the Lotus came out on which sits Lord
Brahma and also Mahalakshmi Maa the consort of Lord Vishnu sits on a Lotus. It must also be clarified
here mentor and this scribe both do not subscribe to over romanticization of techniques which has
become the trend these days. As this scribe was a product of internet forums where some intellectuals
try to over parameterize and over romanticize astrology techniques in the name of brilliance this scribe
