Requirements:
1. System with Windows 98, 2000, 2003 & XP but not Vista.
2. Oracle 9i or 10g has to be installed with Client but with Admin privileges.
3. Create a user in Oracle with the help of below Query.
a. SQL> create user pradeep identified by pradeep default tablespace users quota unlimited on
users;
b. User created.
c. SQL> grant dba,connect,resource to pradeep;
Grant succeeded.
d. SQL> conn pradeep/pradeep Connected.
e. SQL> show user; USER is "PRADEEP"
f. SQL> select username from dba_users;
STEPS FOR INFORMATICA
1. Open the Informatica Software for Installing the Software.
2.Execute the exe of Informatica. Please see the below figure for you reference.

3. Click On Server with Cursor. Please see the below figure for you reference.
4. Pop up window will open for Installation. Please see the below figure for you reference.
5. See the figure after processing. Please see the below figure for you reference.
6.Welcome message from Informatica. Please see the below figure for you reference.
7.Show the License key path. Please see the below figure for you reference.
8.Show the path. Please see the below figure for you reference.
9.Show’s the Databases, how much space is required for complete installation. Please see the below
figure for you reference.
10. Select the option to Install Power Center 8.1.1. Please see the below figure for you reference.
11.Show the path where the Installation has to be processed. Please see the below figure for you
reference.
12.Gathering the Pre-Installation Summary. Please see the below figure for you reference.
13.Installing the Java Runtime Environement. Please see the below figure for you reference.
14.After Initializing Asks to Create Domain. Please see the below figure for you reference.
15.Fill the required information for Configure Domain Database. Please see the below figure for you
reference.
16.Check for the Test Connection passed. Please see the below figure for you reference.
17.For Power Center Services Configuration create Domain. Please see the below figure for you
reference.
18.Leave it no need to Select for Installation Informatica Services with different user account. Please
see the below figure for you reference.
19. Create new Power center Repository with Repsoitory Name and Oracle database user name,
password and Connect string . Please see the below figure for you reference.
20.Test the Connection whether its passed or not. Please see the below figure for you reference.
21.Create the Integration Services by using Service name, User name and password. Please see the
below figure for you reference.
22.After finishing the Installation Summary will displayed. Please see the below figure for you
reference.
23.Select the option for Client Installation. Please see the below figure for you reference.
24. Start’s the installation of Client. Please see the below figure for you reference.
25.Shows the welcome message for Client. Please see the below figure for you reference.
26. Shows the Space required for Installation of Client. Please see the below figure for you
reference.
27. Select the Custom component to install. Please see the below figure for you reference.
28. Select the Power Center Client but don’t select Metadata manager Client. Please see the below
figure for you reference.
29.Shows the path where Power Center Client will Install. Please see the below figure for you
reference.
30.Instailing with Java Runtime Environment. Please see the below figure for you reference.
31.It shows the Installation Summary. Please see the below figure for you reference.
32.No need to Select to lunch the applications. Please see the below figure for you reference.
33. Installation Completed successfully, and how to start the Informatica Services. Please see the
