Position held: - Electrical Engineer

Projects handled:
a. CISCO SOFTWARE TECHNOLOGIES at MARATHALLI, BANGALORE
Total Project value- USD 3.7 million

Duties and Responsibilities:
Preparation of Electrical, Mechanical and Plumbing shop drawings for approval

Preparation of All MEP MAS for Material approval from Client/Consultant

Preparation of Request for Inspection (RFI), Technical queries and Method statements for MEP works

Preparation of Bill of Quantity (BOQ) for tender submission

Dealing with MEP suppliers for purchasing material for the Site execution works

Preparation of variation and savings on post contractual tender and current projects for MEP works

Ensure work is in accordance with working drawings and specifications

Preparation of load and voltage drop calculation, Final testing & Commissioning with reports of All MEP works

Drawings approval from MEDC and other electricity boards for temporary and permanent electrical supplies and dig
permit

Preparation of MEP material procurement schedule & material request schedule as per construction program

Day to day work planning & execution and regular Client/Consultant meetings for hassle free execution of work

Manage project schedules and budgets and Obtain permits for operations

Make engineering calculations in connection with field and office assignments testing, inspecting the equipments and
documentation

Co-ordinate with Client, various agencies, colleagues to ensure trouble free execution of the project

Negotiation with Suppliers and Subcontractors quotation for tender submission and cost control

Ensure compliance with safety requirements, standards and procedures and Perform highly specialized design,
research, and analysis on every project and advice on code compliance

Design, develop and prepare the Installation details for the Electrical, Plumbing and Mechanical system and taking the
recommended approval

Interact with other engineering disciplines for design and drawing coordination

Select the suitable sizes of cable management systems such as cable trays, trunkings , conduits (PVC,GI) depends upon
the no of circuits, size of cables ,wires and distances etc

Select the suitable LV switchgear protection equipment ratings i.e MCCB, RCD, MCB, ELCB, ISOLATOR etc depends
upon the short circuit current calculated from the full load

Co-ordinate and provide requirement at the site to other contractors like Fire Alarm system, Voice and Data, Security
system, CCTV, DDAC control system, Biometric access control, HVAC & Chiller system and other building protection
system contractors as per contractual agreement



Perform the test of Continuity and Insulation Resistance of LV and HV cables, Final Distribution circuits, ELCB test,
Phase reversal test, Earth resistance test and also prepare the test reports for this test

To Prepare As Built Drawings as per the changes will made in the site at final condition, Test reports and O & M
manuals of Electrical, Plumbing and Mechanical

Heading the Electrical, Mechanical and Plumbing Supervisors and Foremen and also responsible for all the activities
involved in the Project

Liaison with vendors, suppliers, approving Authorities, involving Sub Contractors, Building services like BMS, CCTV
systems etc

End to end responsibility for Project management, Site supervision and design co-ordination to implementation for
electrical work

Education:
2008 - B.E. in Electrical and Electronics from VTU, Belgaum, Karnataka, India

Certifications:
Electrical License from Majan Electricity Company of Oman (LIC no. 011/2011)
Passed with Excellent grade in Electrical safety rules, Managing safety rules, First Aid and HSE Induction course with
PDO standards and DCRP standards in 2013-2014
