Hello everyone! My name is Carmen Garrido Snchez, Im from Cartagena and Im
part of Simn Bolvars CEAD. Im studying Psychology and Im coursing eighth
semester. I work as an accounting assistant.

1. Is English important in your life? Why?
Answer: Yes. Its is important because the English opens many doors in the
careers of the people and also, in many companies, speaking English is a
requirement for admission.

2. Is English important in your career? Why?
Answer: Yes. As a psychologist, knowing English will allow me to attend
more patients and not limit myself.

3. Do you think the syllabus of this course is going to help you improve your
English? Why?
Answer: Yes. Its very well structured and the assignments seem to be very
helpful to practice my English.

4. From the syllabus of the course, which topic is familiar for you? Have you
studied it previously? If so, Where?
Answer: I probably have studied some of those topics before in pasts
English courses, but I honestly cant remember.

5. How was your English learning experience been?
Answer: It has been very difficult, but its always nice to see that Im
improving my English with every approved course.

and how it is going to help you to get your academic goals.

I feel excited and scared at the same time about this course. English has always
been a tough subject for me, Ive been lucky to have been helped by familiars and
friends in some activities in the past, but I dont usually keep studying English on a
regular basis. As many teachers say: Study for the knowledge and not for the
grade. Thats basically what I never do; I study for the grade and not for the
knowledge.
I think this course is actually going to help me more than what I initially thought it
would. This is the first time Ive had to do an activity like this and its very refreshing

that it wasnt another: Read and study units 1 to 6 and prepare for a test in two
weeks. I like the methodology of the course so far. Hope Ill be enjoying the further
aspects of it as well.
