Essential duties and functions:
-- Knowledge of OSP design and be capable of designing OSP work orders, provide administrative and field support to
the OSP provisioning process and be familiar with OSP engineering concepts, such as copper cable, fiber optic cable
and coax cable.
-- Ability to utilize facility analysis process to select areas for rehabilitation, coordinate field work, prepare work order
drawings and update work order records and reports in ARES.
-- Knowledge of telephone industry standards, accessing, reading and interpreting mechanized assignment records,
PC applications, OSP record and/or computer aided drafting systems and able to interact with all on-line computer
systems.
-- Knowledge is also required in infrastructure plans (highway, sewer, bridge, etc.) and survey information for the
elimination and prevention of conflicts with existing or proposed underground, site obstacles, and for proper installation
location within easements and public right of way.
-- Good understanding of pair bonding zone (PBZ) for the terminals from the central office.
-- Ability to utilize facility analysis process to select areas for rehabilitation, coordinate field work, prepare work order
drawings and update work order records and reports in BSTCAD by using different tools such as MET^2 FEI, ACR,
LFACS, PLANET, AOTL,OPEDS and removing bridge tap.
RF Engineer and network communication
Carried out several drive test project both Stationary testing and Active Drive Testing using TEMS Investigation 6.0
and 6.1, BU-303 GPS receiver. Used several phones for both data and voice communication, Microsoft Streets and
Maps, Ethereal 3.1 and MapInfo Professional. Conduct Drive test by using TEMS Investigation 6.1 and Agilent tool
E6474A. Analyze drive test data by Using Net Optimizer & TEMS Investigation. Check the system throughput for both
download and upload to the recommended level by EDGE. Find the reason for drop call & make recommendation to
reduce drop call. Find the reason for low data rate for stationary and drive test.
