Ecclesiastical celibacy is not church dogma but a matter of tradition and open for discussion, says Vatican

His comments in the Venezuelan newspaper El
Universal have set off speculation that the Catholic Church under Pope Francis is ready to tackle the issue
of whether priests should be allowed to marry head on, even though it has been a matter of continuing
debate for years.
It is not a church dogma and it can be discussed because it is a church tradition, Parolin, the Vaticans
second in command, said in his interview with El Universal. But he added that any consideration of the
topic of celibacy should be approached from a position of maintaining unity within the church, according
to a translation of the interview provided by National Catholic Reporter.
The work the church did to institute ecclesiastical celibacy must be considered, he said. We cannot
simply say that it is part of the past. It is a great challenge for the Pope, because he is the one with the
ministry of unity and all of those decisions must be made thinking of the unity of the church and not to
divide it.
Parolin acknowledged in the interview that one way to avoid dividing the church over such matters is to
open the discussion among all bishops, rather than keeping it within the Vaticans top leadership.
It has always been said that the church is not a democracy, he said. But it would be good during these
times that there could be a more democratic spirit, in the sense of listening carefully, and I believe the
Pope has made this one of the pontiicates objectives.
NBC News Thursday suggested Parolins comments may have been a well-placed trial balloon by the
church to gauge public reaction.

quietly building one of the most technologically advanced observatories in the world in northern
Arizona here in the United States, speciically for the purpose of viewing and tracking Planet X on its
inbound journey into our solar system.
Signiicantly, there are NO major highways or paved roads leading to their observatory. It is not even
listed in the phone book or in any publication which might reveal its location. They have deliberately
made it as inconspicuous as possible.

No one in the Church was ever forbidden to marry. Paul said that it would be better if a man were
single if he was full time in the service of God. He also said it was better to marry than to burn in
lust; irreguardless. He also said: let every man have his own wife. Celibacy in the Catholic Church
seems to have lead to much destruction. While were at it: The Apostles were never called Father.

among priests will NOT stop child molestation amongst priests! Those who molest children, priests
or not, are SICK! They dont do it because they are keeping vows of celibacy! Thats ridiculous! They

treatment, no psychiatry, no medication for them. They can only be locked away from normal people

many things they will have to answer for, before God. The Catholic church is fraught with evil, from
the beginning to now. It doesnt matter if priests can marry or not; it matters if the people in the
pews every Sunday are hearing the Lords word, or are they hearing more garbage written by a
MAN, who thinks you can be good enough to get to heaven? If we have Catholic friends, it is OUR
task to witness to them, through our lives, our deeds, our words, our prayers. Father, please anoint
my words, and touch Carolyns ears to hear Your Voice when I speak Your Words to her. May I tell her
of Jesus in a way she will understand, and accept. Please bring her into Your Grace, and give her Your
Peace that passes understanding. I ask in Jesus Name, Amen.

It is interesting that over the centuries the dogma of celibacy in now a negotiable tradition. Since
the revealing of many sodomite priests, it is timely to open the door for them to get married so they
can ind their same sex soul mate.
