The document discusses concepts from Ayurveda and yoga relating to prana energy, nadis, chakras, and kundalini. It explains that prana flows through nadis (subtle energy channels) connected to chakras and is involved in marma healing. Kundalini refers to primordial cosmic energy located at the base of the spine that can awaken and rise through the central nadi (sushumna) to provide spiritual insights. Diagrams show the nadis located in the hands, feet, and around chakras, and their relationship to marmas or energy points.

AYURVEDIC CASE DISCUSSION Wednesday, September 01, 2010 MARMA CHIKTSA - INTRODUCTION CHAPTER - 1 (PRESENTATION NO - 4 ) I am trying to explain the concept of involvement of the Pranic energy & Nadi in Marma Chikitsa. It is said that the pranic energy passes through the 72000 to 3,50,000 and odd nadis present in the human body connected to the shat chakras, through which the evoked Kundalini power traverses all along the body. Prana is a central concept in Ayurveda & Yoga where it is believed to flow through a network of fine subtle channels called Nadis. Its most subtle material form is the breath, but it is also to be found in the blood, and its most concentrated form is semen in men and vaginal fluid in women. What is Kundalini ? Swami Vivekananda described kundalini briefly in London during his lectures on Raja Yoga as follows "According to the Yogis, there are two nerve currents in the spinal column, called Pingala and Ida, and a hollow canal called Sushumna running through the spinal cord. At the lower end of the hollow canal is what the Yogis call the "Lotus of the kundalini". They describe it as triangular in form in which, in the symbolical language of the Yogis, there is a power called the kundalini, coiled up. When that kundalini awakes, it tries to force a passage through this hollow canal, and as it rises step by step, as it were, layer after layer of the mind becomes open and all the different visions and wonderful powers come to the Yogi. When it reaches the brain, the Yogi is perfectly detached from the body and mind; the soul finds itself free. We know that the spinal cord is composed in a peculiar manner. If we take the figure eight horizontally there are two parts which are connected in the middle. Suppose you add eight after eight, piled one on top of the other, that will represent the spinal cord. The left is the Ida, the right Pingala, and that hollow canal which runs through the centre of the spinal cord is the Sushumna. Where the spinal cord ends in some of the lumbar vertebrae, a fine fibre issues downwards, and the canal runs up even within that fibre, only much finer. The canal is closed at the lower end, which is situated near what is called the sacral plexus, which, according to modern physiology, is triangular in form. The different plexuses that have their centres in the spinal canal can very well stand for the different "lotuses" of the Yogi." Definition of Kundalini as according to Atharva Veda, explained in the book named The Hidden Mysteries of kundalini Authored by R.Venugopalan MARMA CHIKTSA - INTRODUCTION CHAPTER - 1 (PRESENTATION NO - 4 ) by DR. This Image depicts the Nadis carrying Prana ; Small chakras , Ida , Pingala & Sushumna Nadis present in the Face. This Image depicts the minutest details of how the nadis originate from mooladhara chakra pass upwards to the other chakras and from where in spreads ultimately to the respective areas of thier control. The Chakras could be seen as a circle of plexus of the prana carrying nadis in the center of the sushumna. MARMA CHIKTSA - INTRODUCTION CHAPTER - 1 (PRESENTATION NO - 4 ) by DR. Shri.R.Venugopalan's work in the name of The Hidden mysteries of Kundalini, helped in undersatnding the concept with the beautiful images on it. The above images are a copy from that book but had been labelled over here to make one understand the concept of Prana in marma Chikitsa. I prostrate my head to Shri.R.Venugopalan, from whose work I was able to understand the concept of Kundalini, Pranic energy, Nadis, Shat chakras etc., as an EKALVYA.I am hereby providing the place of availability of his book for the interested persons in the following image.
