The guys weekend away at Promise Keepers was fantastic. Great singing, good speakers, of whom the best was quite possibly our very own Bishop Richard, and great company. However the most important part of PK is that it works well as a faith booster. We all tend to come back more inspired to get on with our Christian walk and to make a difference at home, in the church and beyond. This year was no exception and already four of the men in the church have committed themselves to meeting together weekly for breakfast in what's called a 4x4 group for mutual accountability and support, and have already met once! Watch this space to see what else develops from PK. There will be a new roster coming our very soon so you need to be in touch with me before the middle of next week if you plan on being away over the next three months. The preaching seminar also went very well and I think has increased the confidence and passion

of our lay preachers. Likewise the visit of Warwick Pascoe and his presentation on the miracle of life was well received and very instructive. Finally keep in prayer our need for a children's worker. We have a number of children in the church plus some extras on Sunday who would benefit from a regular programme.

NEWCOMERS NIGHT On Tues Sept 1st 7:30pm we will be running a newcomers evening at 186 Main South Rd, Karoro for those new to the parish, where along with some desserts we explain how the church works and give people the opportunity to ask questions. If you're new to the church or just want to know more then this is the place to come along to.

WORSHIP LEADING SEMINAR On Tues 25th of August at 7pm at Holy Trinity Church Mark and Peter will also be hosting a training session on how to lead worship on Sunday mornings. I would encourage all who lead worship on Sundays to attend.
