    GENERAL GUIDELINE FOR INTERVIEWING PURPOSE.

    ELECTRICAL
    Should be familiar with IFC drawing during construction and pre-commissioning activities.
    MUST HAVE Oil & Gas experience, building M&E is NOT qualified as does NOT practice real oil
    and gas know how.
    FAQ for Electrician or Supervisor. Please ask if capable/know how in
    Electrical legends and symbol?
    Electrical overall single line diagram?
    Electrical single line diagram 415V emergency/normal system or switchboards?
    Electrical single line diagram 240V UPS system main DB/sub DB?
    Electrical single line for lighting and small power system, Loop diagram for emergency and
    normal lighting and small power system?
    Electrical block diagram for control and interface with PCS, SDS and FGS system?
    Electrical Earthing system overall?
    Electrical termination diagram for normal, generator and UPS system?
    GTG (gas turbine generator) electrical system?
    Construction Stage:
    Cable ladder/tray & support installation routing?
    Cable cutting, pulling and dressing activities?
    Continuity test?
    Cable glanding and termination work?
    Cable tagging/marking?
    Megger Test?
    MCT (multi cable transit)?
    Pre-Commissioning activities.
    Motor startup system and troubleshooting?
    Phase measuring and earthing system measuring?

    HIGHLIGHTED IN RED is basic knowledge requirement for electrician with E&I supervisor assist
    for IFC drawing interpretation.
    INSTRUMENT
    FAQ for Instrument technician or Supervisor. Please ask if capable/know how in
    Instrument cable block diagram for field instrument for example measuring transmitter or
    FGS system?
    P&ID drawing?
    Typical instrument hook up drawing?
    MCT and Junction Box layout, cable laying, glanding and termination that all related to its?
    Instrument earthing system?
    Construction Stage
    Cable ladder/tray & support installation routing?
    Cable cutting, pulling and dressing activities?
    Instrument tubing installation?
    Continuity test?
    Cable glanding and termination work?
    Cable tagging/marking?
    Megger Test?
    Instrument installation such as transmitter, thermo well or instrument local indicator?
    Pre-Commissioning activities
    Polarity check
    Valve stroke test and Transmitter calibration?
    Leak Test for instrument tubing?
    HIGHLIGHTED IN RED is basic construction know how that every electrician & Instrument
    technician must have with verification from E&I engineer during execution.
    E&I supervisor must know fabrication, installation, coordination and reporting. Lead pre-com
    activities too.
    Good Instrument technician should be able to used calibration device for example HART
    communicator, 4-20mA current injection device and so forth.
    Level of competency:
    E&I Engineer
    E&I Supervisor must know both electrical & instrument scope of work.
    E&I Foremen
    Electrician
    Instrument technician
    Instrument fitter
    Helper
