SA-XT Firmware Release Notes

Multilanguage support. English and Chinese included in this release.
The following Bird USB power sensors are supported: 5012, 5014, 5015, 5016, 5017, 5018, 5019 and 7020.
Measurement performance has been improved.
Includes support for Navman GPS or compatible GPS USB sensors.
Display updated to use the SA-6000EX color palette.
Customizable cable and frequency band lists.
Power-saving standby mode and auto-shutdown feature.
Holding the 5 key for 5 seconds or more will display the language selection options.
Holding the . key for 2 seconds or more will capture a screenshot. Screenshots are stored in a directory
Screenshots on the SA-XT or external storage media.
Prerequisites
This firmware update requires that the SA-XT has firmware version 1.1 20110517 or later installed. Firmware version
information is displayed in the Utility screen.
Displaying Firmware
1. Turn on the SA-XT.
2. Press the Mode button.
3. Press the Utility softkey.
NOTE: The firmware version is displayed in the Utility screen.
NOTE: A version of Firmware v1.1 17 May 2011 or later is acceptable for this release.
Updating Firmware
1. Turn the SA-XT off.
2. Attach the AC external power supply.
3. Connect the SA-XT to a PC via type A/B USB cable.
4. Hold down the power button for 6 seconds or more.
NOTE: The SA-XT will enumerate as a Mass Storage Device. It will appear as a drive in Windows explorer
with a drive label Removable Disk. The SA-XT LCD display will indicate that it is in firmware update mode.
5. Go to the PC.
6. Copy the firmware image file to the SA-XT drive.
7. Disconnect the SA-XT from the PC.
NOTE: The SA-XT will now apply the firmware update.
8. Turn the SA-XT on.
NOTE: The SA-XT should power off automatically after the update has been applied. If this does not happen,
disconnect the external power supply.
9. Verify the firmware has been updated. See Displaying the Firmware above.
