The major stress in teenagers lives

In this globalization era, many teenagers are having stresses in their lives. A
teenagers life is not as easy as regarded by most of us. It is totally different from
childhood which is a very easy and happy phase in our lives. According to Daily News
on 7
th
March, a 14 years old teenager from Mulund commit suicide by hanging himself
from an iron bar of an under construct SRA building. It cannot be denied that many
teenagers today are stressed out due to various factors. The three main factors that
cause teenagers stress out are family problems, school related problems and boy girl
relationship.
First and foremost, family problems are one of the major causes of stress to
teenagers. This is because family is the most important relationship in a teenagers life.
Family provides the environment and moral support needed by the teenager who is
immature and still finding their ways in life. Teenagers are always keeping in touch with
their family. A happy and healthy family will make a teenager feel supported in his life
and make him have confidence to face the challenges in the future. As all of us know,
being a teenager is rather difficult and it is totally different from childhood. There are
many challenges they have to face. For example, physical changes, school matters,
friendships, examinations and others. If a family is problematic, the teenager will not be
able to get enough support from his family. As a consequence, this will cause a lot of
stress on him. We can see many reality examples such as a family which the parents
are always arguing or under a divorce. These will cause the most stress to teenager.
Not only that, school related problems also cause stress in teenagers lives.
School related problems are the difficulties that teenagers face in school like time
management, homework, examinations, activity or being bullied in school. Furthermore,
as a student, they need to wake up early to go for school. Im very sure that none of us
want to wake up and leave their bed early in the morning. Teenagers spend most of their
time in school from morning to evening. For example, some students who are going to
have SPM examination need to stay at school for extra classes till 5 p.m. There are so
many things they need to manage and accomplish in a short time. Therefore, teenagers
should train themselves in order to cope up with schools. Some teenagers who are weak
in academic stressed out due to the fear of having failure in examination. The school is a
place for learning and gaining knowledge. It is not a place for fun. Endless activities and
works in school cause teenagers exhausted and stressed out.
Last but not least, teenagers stress out is because they are having boy girl
relationships. Boy girl relationship refers to the romantic relationship that a teenager
have with someone of the opposite gender. Nowadays, more and more teenagers are
having relationship at a young age. However, they are still immature and too young for
the relationship. This relationship is always known as puppy love. They are too young to
understand and manage their own feelings. They do not understand the feelings of the
person they are in love and the responsible they should take up. They are just a
beginner to learn how to manage a romantic relationship that can be very challenging.
Sometimes, we can see teenagers who fall in love cannot concentrate on their studies.
They always think about their girlfriend or boyfriend. For instance, if the relationship
breaks up, the teenager will be not emotionally balance and thus they cannot focus on
their studies. However, teenagers cannot avoid from the relationship as all of us have to
face it in our lives. It is a part of growing process. Some parents may object the
relationship as they think that teenagers now should focus on their studies. This may
lead teenagers in a dilemma. Therefore, boy girl relationship causes the major stress in
teenagers lives.
In conclusion, there are many causes lead to stress in teenagers lives. It is a
parcel of growing process that we cannot avoid it. However, if we can take the stress
positively, we can success in our lives. Therefore, stress can have positive or negative
impact on us. Yet, it depends on how we handle it.
